Sportsbook Made Error In My Favor

I reloaded at a book. I sent $900 and the manager approved me for 30% cash bonus, which i think is a fine deal. I call up the book, give them the ** control number, and request the bonus. When i get home I checked my transaction history to make sure the CS clerk reimbursed my fees, etc. I was shocked b/c the book credited me with a $2700 bonus instead of a $270 bonus.

I guess the clerk added an extra zero when entering the number. Honest mistake on their part. now part of me thought i hit the fukking jackpot here. i thought i made a $2400 net score brock landers style . i was not sure what to do here. so i called up a friend who works at a big costa rican sportsbook and told him the story. guy said to report the mistake b/c if i bet the "monopoluy money" and won with it i would be fukked. when it comes time to take a payout, the accounting department would review my account, identify the mistake and confiscate the winnings. And since i arb a lot, i can not be betting with fake monopoly funds on one side.

I called up the book and reported the mistake and asked him if he could credit my account with a bonus for being honest. to my surprise he said sure! lol

You did the right thing being honest. They would have taken the money back and all your winnings if you did not report it. At least this way you got an extra bonus out of it and now you dont have to sweat them raping you later if/when you win. Good job, Zeta.

oh ya, i bet the wrong game so i went on live chat and had them cancel the bet. thats why it says i have a bet for zero bucks lol. another nice gesture by them. most books do not let you cancel bets once you place them.

i will admit it was my initial instinct to keep the money. but after i talked to my friend and thought about everything, i made the right choice here. i also did not want the customer service clerk to lose their job.

whatever book it is they piss on that 2700. might of not even noticed but you did the right thing. my buddy one time did a 5500.00 bank wire withdrawal. and by accident they wired 5500.00 two days in a row. they never even noticed
