Yes. Doesn't happen very often but it does happen. Very frustrating.

Happens all the time, basically the win pool becomes a place pool, no big deal. Look at it this way, better to be paid half than nothing.

Once in a great while there's a triple dead heat, I've never seen one live and have seen my share of races, but here's a race that had one

            your friends are VERY LUCKY

the hong kong jockey just changed the way they calculate dead heat dividends

they used to do it by the weight of money, once i got in a dead with with huge favorite , my horse was 12-1 , i did not get EVEN FUKING MONEY BACK

Pico it's called a dead heat. Happens occasionally. Better to cash than to not cash.....

i saw a triple dead heat at rockingham park in salem new hampshire some years ago in the mid 1970's. it was a harness horse meet .it made the front page of all the local papers.istared at the photo finish posted at the rock for quite sometime, trying to find a judges error, but, ther called it right.it was really something.
ps:vandeleigh, your posted video is embedded!which means to me i can't view it.nice try anyway.

I would say dead heats happens once a week per track that runs a full schedule

People are always upset with a dead heat.I guess everyone figures they should have won and not the other guy.

happens all the time. better than you're horse finishing second with a win bet. then you get nothing

I was IN a triple dead heat once. Harness racing at Bay Meadows in the 70's.

remember last year @cd 3 races were called dead-heats as the photo camera was broken on a friday night, guess the stewards played it safe, as the next day it was clear 2 of the races were won by a long nose, better safe than sorry,..

Wow, I don't remember that - shameful that a track like CD didn't have some kind of backup system.

just looked it up, it was only 2 races with a win dead-heat, think one of the owners of a horse involved tried to get one of the races overturned the next day,

Since I lose more photo finishes than I won, I'm happy with a dead heat .
