Perhaps so but the vast majority of people don't and pay tons of interest to these banks.

I know myself and I can't manage them well. I have saved so much $ over the years after cutting up my cards.

Exactly. People think CC = bad. There are a number of benefits from using credit cards properly:

1) Interest free loan for up to 60 days depending on when the purchase occured
2) Much more protection from fraud than using a debit card
3) Much easier and more protection if you ever need to charge back
4) Builds credit

screw credit cards, i have my debit card which is the same as cash and thats it. if you can't pay cash for it don't buy it.

Credit cards are by in large a scam. your are paying for the ability to buy something you cant afford outright. It is best to avoid them all together. as has bean posted two of the "benifits" of cards counter each other the "interest free loan" part almost never works because if you could afford to pay it off in less then two months you could afford to just buy it. and if you do use it this way there will be no gaining of "credit". witch is another scam in itself.

Anything credit can do cash can do better!
