Thoughts on states banning coffee-alcohol combo canned drinks?

i live on a college campus and can tell you from friend's experience that those drinks are very dangerous.

kids get so yoked up on caffeine they don't realize they are going way past their limit with alcohol.

and yes, its perhaps the grossest thing ever invented.

I could drink Sparks in my late teens/early twenties, can't do it anymore. I'm against the banning of most things, but this shit will destroy your insides over time.

4Loko's. 24 ounces with the same amount of alcohol as six beers. Problem is that apparently the caffeine blocks out the effects of the alcohol, so the kids don't really realize how fukked up they actually are until they wake up and realize that they're dead...

I was curious about these, and since I haven't seen a can available in CR, I instead grabbed a beer mug, poured in 1 can of redbull, and 1 can of beer. Wasn't too bad, but not something that I would buy.

I drank two on Saturday night & was hammered.. One can is enough to get you feeling great.. And at $2.50, its a bargain.. I can def see how kids are drinking too much though.. Once the caffine wore off, i went from a nice buzz to trashed.. In a matter of minutes..

They never caught on in my town i don't guess.. But i have a stockpile of them now.. Some do taste pretty bad, but not all of them.. The fruitpunch isn't that bad.. But the lemonade is disgusting..

I've never had a four loko, but they are popular on my campus. I've had something similar called joose and I was trashed after 2 of them. These things are potent.
