This has to be some kind of NHL record. Guy has 3 shutouts in 6 starts this year, thats unbelievable.

Guy has allowed only 3 goals in 6 starts, thats a 0.500 GAA. How the hell is this possible?

This guy has always defied logic. Plays Hasek like, not the most athletic guy at all. He just has an intense desire to win. But yeah that's gotta be a record his stats are unbelievable.

He's average at best. I guess he's trying to get his job back again after shitting his pants last year.

Quite easily, because he stops that little black thing going in between the metal posts behind him with great frequency

On a more serious note, the only good thing about early season stats like this is when regression to the mean kicks in

It's also possible that he is playing so well because he simply wants out of Boston. He knows that Rask will also get some starts and is being groomed to take over #1 duties by this time next year. Thomas is that good of a technical goalie. He unconventional style does work though.

Thomas is no Stanley Cup goalie and believe me it still early in the season

Bruins are only playing him so his stock rises and they can trade him for something. Tuuka Rask is the future of my bruins but thomas is playing lights out.

You already forgot about Rask's collapse last postseason blowing a 3-0 series lead and 3-0 game 7 lead? Rask is not ready to be the guy yet. Thomas isn't going anywhere, Boston have no goaltending depth in the minors and having both Thomas and Rask gives them the best chance at the cup. Ryder and/or Wheeler are the guys getting shipped out of town once Savard and Sturm come back.

He has a NTC so he can't be moved unless he waives it.

LOL.....Who will take that useless POS Ryder? Wheeler is a big kid, but plays soft. Bruins will have to waive or move someone if and when both Savard and Sturm comes back.

Brent Johnson is playing almost as good. Its not hard for goalies to get on good streaks.

Look at Steve Mason rookie year.

It took Tim Thomas forever to be a starter then he played his balls off to get a big contract.

Nobody! Ryder will be waived and sent to Providence, and at least one player will likely need to be traded to get under the cap once Savard/Sturm are taken off LTIR. Wheeler is probably the most likely to be dealt.

Wheeler's trade value is very low right now, but he does have a wee bit of upside in that he is young adn has a little bit of a scoring touch when his head is in the game.
