#38I had no idea he was on the cover of High Times. Last night when he was interviewed and they asked him what he hoped the fans in San Francisco were up to ... he said a lot of yelling and screaming and partying and smoke in the air. I thought that he meant he hoped they were blazin' but now I know that's what he meant. Right on Tim. What are you gonna do now? Roll up a few doobies and go to Disney World.Comment -

To say those type of things on national tv, when millions of kids are watching, is far from being "cool". Its more like being a trashy lowlife. As far as the millions of $ he's making....no amount of money can buy class.Comment -

#48I didn't see any footage of the parade. Did Timmy get up and address the crowd? What did he say, anyone see?Comment -

Hitting a home run...in any other sport's atmosphere, INCLUDING FRIGGIN GOLF, this would warrant a nice little jump and fist-pump or something but it's frowned upon. It's all of the old bureaucrats that try and suck the life out of it and keep it "traditional".
I know many friends that would NEVER come with me to a baseball game even though I am more than confident they will enjoy it. They are simply basing their lack of desire on their last experience watching a game on TV or even hearing about baseball which can both be very boring. If they don't pizzazz it up a bit then they could be in big trouble.
On another note, great pitching is an athletic feat to be marvelled at but it does not make for an exhilarating watch. Sure, a 3-2 strike is kid of exciting but for people at a game, especially those that aren't die-hard fans, but it isn't nearly as fun as watching people slug over the wall or even still in the park and try to beat the throw to the bases, steal bases, etc. If the strive to find the lights-out pitcher continues, offensive games (arguably more exciting) will dwindle and even more excitement will be lost from a game already lacking heavily in that department.Comment -
