Now we we have to answer:
6 questions correctly to net 250 points as opposed to the original 3.
4 questions correctly to net 100 as opposed to 2
2 questions correctly to net 20 as opposed to 1.

Now how does the original trivia set up of once a week for 20-100-250 sound ?

Give it some time guys under this format... we have some technology issues to perfect and we need to measure the amount of awards as well. Its off to a great start but we need a little time for programing and such.

I tend to agree with PR, as it does make it twice as hard to win the same points.

Trivia twice a week is good, but maybe we could find a middle ground between the once a week prices and the twice a week?

first was 20-100-250

then it was halved to 10-50-125

How about 15-75-175? Otherwise, it does make sense to keep only once a week. Now winning 250 requires you to run the table twice instead of once!

Or we could have the idea of Wednesday the higher prize and the random day the lower prize.

It's free and fun so i'm fine with whatever way that you want to run it. Honestly, i think that I like it this way more. The random day makes it exciting when you log in to SBR and obviously you can't be giving away 500 pts a week to posters. I say keep it how it is and if people don't like it then they don't have to play

How can you guys be missing the other side of the coin? Yeah it's twice as "hard" to get the same MAXIMUM points but it's twice as "easy" to bust out with nothing and get ZERO for the week. It's an even proposition mathematically, no? But if the questions are really easier (and I have no idea) then it is better to have it twice a week.

I think it's better this way.

1)It's a fun surprise now twice a week instead of once

2)The 50 point question is easier than w/e the 100 was. If it isn't considerably easier, it should be.

3)Chances are much better you come out with decent points for the week, whereas the 100 point question was harder and it's probably one and done with 0 points for the week (unless you happen to know it or get lucky guessing). If you won the 100 in the past, you probably got lucky and might not feel the same way about keeping the old format if you lost the first 3 contests on tough 100 point questions and came away with 0.

4)You can pocket the 50 on Wednesday and then go for the 125 on the random day with some insurance.

Hard questions are fine, but make it someone with serious knowledge might actually know. Nobody knows somebody's exact batting average for a series, or crap like that. It can be hard, like who won the 1985 Sugar Bowl, or whatever, but at least some might know that. Not some obscure ridiculous statistic.
