Looks like the Refs really screwed up again!

I thought you couldn't fumble into the end zone! If I'm right

    it should've been a touchback.

Yes that was the play. The ball went into the endzone and as I remember someone fumbled into the endzone awhile back on the last play of the game intentionally after he was stopped short. The rule was changed back then to stop anyone from fumbling into the endzone to gain an advantage.

We'll probably see an article this week from the League saying the "Crew" made a mistake!

Instant replay has been a benefit to the game and helped the officail make the correct call but Instant Replay can't enforce the rules

Regardless if they couldn't determine who got the ball....... Fumbling into endzone rule..... should have been called a touchback????? Miami ball on the 20 yard line

Dude, it's when a ball is fumbled OUT of the endzone.

correct -- he is thinking of this situation. if thru the endzone and out, then touchback.

didn't an Ariz lineman recover in the endzone for a td a few weeks ago?

It all depends on the umpire. So next time someone fumbles in the endzone the offensive linemen should make a pile over the fumble so the cameras can't record who recovered the ball and get the ball back.

What a bunch of bull this umpire is selling!

If the offensive team recovers a fumble in that 2 minutes of the game, the ball is placed at the spot of the fumble not where it was recovered unless the fumbling player ends up with the ball.

The play on the field was ruled a TD, so the refs didn't care who had the ball, and the fact that it was a scrum for the ball, there is now way to see on replay who recovered it. Remeber to overrule the call that the ball was the stealer the video replay must show conclusive evidence other wise.

Only if the play is rules not a fumble in the first place and if thats the case no one will ever have conclusive visual evidence of a recovery.
