Just placed my order through the Taylor Made rep for the brand new 2.0 burner irons.

This is supposed to be the best set of clubs for the amateur to ever hit the market.

I tried out the 09 model and the 6 iron was about 12 yards longer than my cleveland tours.

Sweet set and I am pretty pumped to get these in

I like my Taylor Made irons, alot more than my brothers Cleaveland's. The only thing I like more is his wedges.

i had a set of burner 09. the reason it goes so far it due to its stupid lofts. PW is like 42 and the club is like half an inch longer then normal. whatever they say the lofts are is complete crap

you can look up the lofts online and they are from third party people. I hit my PW about 150 yards when I'm playing a lot and I'm not really a long hitter (around 280 or so when my rhythm is on). I have the Burner Pluses as well

I just bought ping g15 about a month ago and they are amazing irons. Taylor Made's are my second favorite clubs I still carry two of their wedges and driver.

burners maybe lofted different but the ball flys much higher. I have had a demo 6 iron for a few months now and I have taken it on the course a little and hit it at the range. Its nice long and high.

I currently have a set of Cleveland ta7 tour irons. I bought them when I was playing multiple times per week and practicing a lot but now that I am running a business fulltime and not just a student I dont get out but maybe once a week. The clevelands were great for working the ball but im just not that good anymore. Im playing to an 11 right now where before I was half of that. I needed forgiveness on the miss hits and that is what I like about the burners. Im thinking I will drop a stroke or two just by having more forgiving clubs

Definitely a good looking club. I just can't seem to part ways with my Ping Eye2's though. The trend is,and probably always will be, is to make claim to be the longest hitting club. freeVick is right about the stronger lofts. My 1988 Ping Eye2 7 iron has a 36 degree loft compared to the Burner plus 2.0 7 iron which is 31 degrees. This is not to say that TaylorMade is alone in bending the lofts stronger---they're all doing it including Ping. Hope you enjoy them.

I dont care what the lofts are, they are easier to hit and go far and go high. Still gonna take a little getting used to the offset after years of playing clubs with a small cavity and no offset but once I figure it out my skanky misses right will be gone
