But there are some books like Justbet that have such horrible lines/limits, a bonus there is a pain in the butt (and that is prolly why they send me offers each week, bitches).
    Funny.

Bonuses are great for poker, not often a good deal for sports betting.

in my experience, half the players take bonuses and half don't. No group cashes out more than the other. It's very close over a period of time.

Surely, if the players make the same bets the guy taking the bonus wins in the long run!?

I suppose if I looked at all the players and did a comparison you could be right.

Here's what I've seen in almost 10 years in the off shore industry.
              • The majority of player's that don't take bonuses decline them because just want to get paid fast, without any restrictions and are bigger depositors. They tend to play less games during the week but place bigger bets.

              • Players who always take bonuses generally deposit more often but smaller amounts. They play consistently night in and night out and play smaller bets.

I get both sides of the strategy believe me.

I seen guys that wouldn't have cashed out anything if the bonus money didn't bail them out and helped them get on a roll. Likewise, I have seen guys take a bonus and hit several bets immediately but never cashed out because the rollover wasn't met before they lost it.

Here is a thought. If your deposit a dime, are you gonna cash out a dime? $800? $1200? More often than not, the answer is no. You are either gonna lose the $1000 or turn it into $2000, $3000 or whatever figure you want to say. If you do, you will almost always meet the rollover and usually by more than is necessary.

I know one fact for sure. There is no right or wrong way when deciding bonus or no bonus.

              BOL on all your bets

                  What would you rather have:
                  A. 10% Bonus and -110 line OR
                  B. No Bonus and -101 line?

reduced juice is always the better bonus for long term player--take the bonus if you are hit and run type.

I always try to deposit with a bonus, don't care about the rollovers. I like staying with the same bookie for long runs, so rollover has never been a problem for me.

Does almost every online sports book offer a bonus?

I take them with most places. Hey, thishobby is a marathon, not a sprint and if you aren't going to stay with a book long enough for at least 5X, what are you doing there in the first place ??

Matchbook beats bonuses, otherwise bonuses are great they lower the juice give you more betting ammo. Unless you like to just bet and if you win withdrawal, then just don't accept the bonuses.

Bookmaker/DSI payout fast and you have to request the bonus there. So I'd give them a try either way, request the bonus if you plan to gamble for a little while or just don't request it deposit and bet and if you win cashout. By the way their poker room is soft as hell, definitely worth checking out.
