    Met Some Posters
You can complain about them not being SBR posters if you wish but I really don't care. They were once here and are still posters regardless of where they post at.

Last Friday I spent the evening hanging out with Bread, Robyn, BGS 9.5 and Teela.

I'm sure when meeting strangers for the first time it can be a little awkward but meeting people that you have already spent time posting with kind of takes some of the edge off. Usually the case but not always. Especially if you are considered a straight-laced goodie-2-shoes and you are meeting people that like to party.

Not he case at all with these people. They were as cool as could be.

Met BGS 9.5 first as we made plans to play golf prior to meeting the others. BG is very much a TRUE golfer, samdbagger for those not in the know. LOL. To his credit BG's friend said he was a certain handicap and BG did say he wasn't that high but we agreed to play anyhow. BG won all but 1 skin on the front then the rain came and washed us out. I will be looking for a re-match at some point with an adjustment in handicap.

After I got changed I met up with BG and Bread. Now I don't know why but I had it in my head that Bread was this little short guy. Sure I had seen pictures but still figured him for this MMA loving typical internet guy. Not at all. Breads a good size physically fit dude. What's more he is one cool sumbitch.

Afte a while we met up at another place with Teela and Robyn. Amazing ladies, simply put they were absolute pleasures. I was a little surprised because Robyn had her concerns about me and for good reason. Being that I don't drink and have posted about it several times she was a little leary that I would be the type that might judge others because they liked to party. After the shields came down we all had a great time and I made myself 4 new people that I will consider friends and look forward to meeting again.

Some of you may never wish to meet people from online. It's understandable that there might be some concerns but I can tell you from not just this experience but others I have had that usually if you get along with someone online unless they are completely pretending to be someone they aren't it can be just as enjoyable if not more in person.

I am sad that I'm not in Vegas this weekend meeting some of the attendees at the Bash but look forward to opportunities in the future to meet some SBR'ers as well.

Wal your intentions are good but posting consistently about those that are persona non grata is a recipe to get banned on some whim. If you don't care then by all means continue but I warn because you're a good guy which I like.

FWIW they seem like a good gang and I'm glad you had a jolly time.

Wal it was a very nice summary.

      MrMarket,

How do you know who is persona non grata here since Wal's friends haven't been around since you became a member here? And don't give me the bull that you were lurking here for a few years back.

I like you as well mmarket. Truth be told though if someone at SBR decides to ban me for speaking about nothing but a good time with former posters and one current poster then SBR isn't a place I would want to be at.

I would hope that SBR is above banning someone for something so sublime as this post. It says nothing negative about SBR, it says nothing negative about anyone or anything. It is a comment on meeting posters and just happens that the posters I met post elsewhere but the message is universal. Surely SBR can see that. If not then its been real.

My join date is the first time I visited the boards. I have spent time looking for threads/posts in the archives though searching for information. Occasionally I stumbled upon something interesting which took me into a different direction. It so happens a few posters that left coincided with those that I was perusing. I learned about the situation that way while browsing their histories.

Yeah but who are you to judge someone you never met or talked to in this forum? You can't judge a person from what you read in their post history.

I'm not particularly sure what you find distasteful about calling Wally and those he hung out with "seem to be a good gang"? And not to be trite but it doesn't really matter what you think anyway.

I am always weary after the Cougar Bait banning which is why I posted it. And your post is in no way incendiary but you never know the thought process behind some decisions.

hanging out or even talking to scum (people) who post else where will not be tolerated

lol...amazing how some people don't realize that posters from other boards get discussed here all the time. It is by no means a commentary on anything other than Wally met some posters and had a good time. In fact he seems to be encouraging others to do the same should the situation arise. Like Brock, Cougar and Richie going to baseball and football games.

Rudy you're new but by the way you were responding in iifold's thread seems likely you're a ghost, Herman perhaps, either way it doesn't matter.

Teela still post here therefore relevant.
Some posters here know those guys and like those guys therefore relevant.
JJ and Nicky have talked about not meeting posters and this was an example of what good can come from it therefore relevant.
It's my thread, my experience, my time to type what I want therefore relevant.

Come to think of it the only thing not relevant is you Rudy. That kind of makes you irrelevant.

What makes one of them amazing? Did someone balance themself on their pinky finger for 10 minutes?

It's understandable that there might be some concerns but I can tell you from not just this experience but others I have had that usually if you get along with someone online unless they are completely pretending to be someone they aren't it can be just as enjoyable if not more in person.

I am sad that I'm not in Vegas this weekend meeting some of the attendees at the Bash but look forward to opportunities in the future to meet some SBR'ers as well.

What makes one of them amazing? Did someone balance themself on their pinky finger for 10 minutes?
Nope, if you had seen Bread's ass in those jeans or Teela's "Rocker Chick" you would have thought AMAZING!

Actually sure, amazing is an exaggeration but the point is I enjoyed the peeps and it was a good time.
