You can complain about them not being SBR posters if you wish but I really don't care. They were once here and are still posters regardless of where they post at.
Last Friday I spent the evening hanging out with Bread, Robyn, BGS 9.5 and Teela.
I'm sure when meeting strangers for the first time it can be a little awkward but meeting people that you have already spent time posting with kind of takes some of the edge off. Usually the case but not always. Especially if you are considered a straight-laced goodie-2-shoes and you are meeting people that like to party.
Not he case at all with these people. They were as cool as could be.
Met BGS 9.5 first as we made plans to play golf prior to meeting the others. BG is very much a TRUE golfer, samdbagger for those not in the know. LOL. To his credit BG's friend said he was a certain handicap and BG did say he wasn't that high but we agreed to play anyhow. BG won all but 1 skin on the front then the rain came and washed us out. I will be looking for a re-match at some point with an adjustment in handicap.
After I got changed I met up with BG and Bread. Now I don't know why but I had it in my head that Bread was this little short guy. Sure I had seen pictures but still figured him for this MMA loving typical internet guy. Not at all. Breads a good size physically fit dude. What's more he is one cool sumbitch.
Afte a while we met up at another place with Teela and Robyn. Amazing ladies, simply put they were absolute pleasures. I was a little surprised because Robyn had her concerns about me and for good reason. Being that I don't drink and have posted about it several times she was a little leary that I would be the type that might judge others because they liked to party. After the shields came down we all had a great time and I made myself 4 new people that I will consider friends and look forward to meeting again.
Some of you may never wish to meet people from online. It's understandable that there might be some concerns but I can tell you from not just this experience but others I have had that usually if you get along with someone online unless they are completely pretending to be someone they aren't it can be just as enjoyable if not more in person.
I am sad that I'm not in Vegas this weekend meeting some of the attendees at the Bash but look forward to opportunities in the future to meet some SBR'ers as well.
