In his interview he said " Just trying to tie the game....got lucky"

Most HR in a season, MLB history -- with totals through 156 team games:
We already know that Judge leads MLB, and thus the AL, in homers and RBIs, but he has a chance at leading all Triple Crown categories in the AL, too. The last winner was Miguel Cabrera in 2012 -- before that, no player had won a Triple Crown since Carl Yastrzemski in 1967.

In his last 14 games, Aaron Judge has one home run and two RBI. Down to two games left.
Also, the Triple Crown is now out of reach. Not hitting much even when he gets pitches to hit.
He will lead in HRs and RBI but not BA.

That is what I thought too. Wondered why he jumped down. Maybe he assumed that it would bounce and and up down there.

By all accounts people in his inner circle say Judge is a Saint.
I'm sure he has flaws, we all do, but yeah, it's very refreshing.
Kirby Puckett was the same way I'm told, there's other examples, but it's few and far between.
Judge really has the Yankees by the balls now.
They can't afford (pardon the pun) to let the all time season AL record HR champ, and a potential triple crown winner walk away in free agency, the public backlash will be enormous.
This is NYC where everything is magnified ten fold.
Even if the NYY have to give Judge two years more on a contract than they want to, Judge's drawing power to put asses in the seats will offset that cost.
I'll lay 10:1 Judge re-signs with the Yanks this winter, and for at least five years, if not eight years.
Sign him through age 40, it's a good investment, and I'm pretty sure both Judge's people, and Cashman all the way up to up Hal know this.
And for all those clamoring for Boone and Cashman to be fired, sorry, that ain't happening for at least another full season, and probably more than that.
