What's the big deal? The whistle sounded a fraction of a second before the ball hit the receiver's hands. Nothing about the play really changed except everyone's reaction following the touchdown. The play itself was unaffected.Comment -

Tirico was acting like it was the biggest blown call in history. I agree, the whistle blew a second before the receiver caught the ball. The Raiders didn't stop on the play, they weren't in position to stop the TD in the end zone anyway.
How about the roughing the passer penalty Bogar called in the last drive? 15 free yards. We see these every game. You'd these refs would keep the flags in the pocket on the last drive unless is obvious.

This is the problen with having 7 umpires with whistles. In soccer only the ref can blow the whistle. The assistants have flags. The judge shouldn't have a whistle. Just a flag and then the umpire can talk to him to find out what the flag was about after play was over.Comment -
