I doubt the commissioners of the big 10 conference are Democrats.

    Science isn't a political issue.

I'm as mad as anyone. We can't debate how contagious it is, we can debate how deadly or risky it is, only because it's so new.

If we go back to normal penetrate it, everyone is getting it, some will die .

First also, science should not be political.

I'm also socially more liberal than pretty much all of svr, but at this point there's no way to stop it.

The proteins that covid-19 uses are the same that are body does for many processes so it doesn't perceive it as a threat.

Viruses have essentially no cures, very little vaccinations, and anything like that is years off, if at all.

Essentially it's going to be that everyone will have to sign a waiver or not participate in sports and many aspects of life.

if you're a high-risk, get an exception for work and hunker down until there's antibodies or whatever comes along.

I said months ago that we could nip this virus in 30 days. But it takes shutting everything down for 2 weeks. EVERYTHING. A nationwide quarantine. Whoever has it now would be over it and no one else would get it. Unfortunately, you need 100% buy in and too many people rather have their freedom to infect others.

Would you want to assume the risk of all those athletes getting sick at your school? It’s only a matter of time before we see lawsuits. The pros are a lot different than these colleges.

This way they can pretend that they are relevant as a conference. If you don't lose your non-conference games you can believe you are the best

This really hurts smaller colleges that depend on that money to keep their programs afloat by playing those sacrificial lamb games.

    Brock,

I saw only the SEC wants 1 OOC game, the rest want all intraconference schedules.

    Playoff said “nothing changes”

I would guess the other bowl games will be cancelled

If there’s no bye looks like season will start September 26 weekend, assuming they all do 10 games. I would think the conference championships are still on

    Playoff (4 team)

On ESPN, plus right now there’s only 9 games in the conference and they will have to add one. Part of the reason is they want to see how bad it spreads when students return. I still expect this to get shut down.

You're right it is. Because EMF radiation from 6g cell towers NEVER goes away as long as they are operating. Enjoy being cooked to death over time. Hey, can you grab me a bag of popcorn to watch this?

    2) Notre Dame becomes an interesting question since they’re non-conf.

    3) If you deal with 8-team playoff, how do you deal with non-power 5s and the playoff?
We would finally get the much-needed 8-team playoff - That would be the one positive out of this mess!

They could scrap the playoff and just let the AP and Coaches' polls decide the title; back to the dark ages.

With the Big 10 adding a game, what is certain is this. First, the extra game will feature an Eastern Division team vs a Western Division Team. Second, the Eastern Division teams play 5 conference home games and Western Division teams play 4. That will even out. The Western Division teams get the extra game at home. While nothing is set yet, I look for Ohio State (who lost a big non-con game at Oregon) to go to Wisconsin (who lost a game at Lambeau against Notre Dame.)
