~~~~ JJ...Be the Michael Jordan of posting... You should never use could of.
It is a mistake by careless writers that results from a misunderstanding of spoken English. Since could have is a verb phrase,
and of is preposition,
you will always know to use could have as long as you can remember the parts of speech of have and of.
Suddenly left the NBA near the peak of his career to play minor league baseball poorly in Birmingham... Yes, rather "interesting" to say the least."
Front office plus coach plus team was like The Beatles. Incredible beyond belief but could not keep the egos in check any longer.
didn't get that impression at all. his reaction to it was rather subdued and nonchalant. somewhat like dale earnhardt jr.'s reaction when he was interviewed after senior got crunched. you could see the dollar signs in jr's eyes 30 minutes after the crash.
Just heard that ~ 6 million people watched the first night of the Jordan doc #TheLastDance - (context: WAY more than many predicted)
...& that could mean Thursday’s #NFLDraft could see HUGE numbers. (Maybe record numbers?)
Geez, a bunch of misinformed Jordan enthusiasts in here.
Jordan was supposed to lose to the Knicks in the 93 playoffs as payment to the gambinos for the gambling debts he racked up over the yrs in AC.
They had everyone in the pocket from the refs to the books taking action. Knicks went up 2-0 with one sided officiating until Jordan snapped and went HAM despite the refs swallowing whistles while he got a broken nose.
Real fans will never forget the grueling and emotional dog fight encapsulated with the slowmo image captured with Jordan emphatically pumping his fist violently after an and 5 (forget 1) basket with a tissue stuffed up his nostril to stop the gushing blood.
He went Bruce Willis in pulp fiction in the boxing ring before the film was even made. Instead of going along with the fix Jordan said fukk it and the true goat came out.
His father unfortunately was a victim in the retaliation of the defiant/heroic act. That is one of the reasons why is the absolute GOAT. None of the pussies today would ever dare to even attempt such a feat. Can anyone see LeBron doing something like that. LOL fukk no
huge numbers coming for the NFL draft. i have been telling my friends this for a week because it is so obvious that people are dying for sports. just to see the players on remote cam and the highlights and the fact it is involving something LIVE and not a REPLAY
it will get enormous ratings
93 Suns were actually better than them but Richard Dumas got addicted to drugs and other guys were aging.
Jordan was a million times more talented than James, and more importantly, much more mentally talented than James. Jordan always wanted to win at all costs. There is no comparison and it is laughable that anyone would try and debate James is better. Not even close.
plus jordan made average players great around him with 1 team, he did not try to buy a team to win a ring by jumping from team to team.....
Still solid, but not very impressed with the first couple episodes.
Yeah, funny how ppl are mentioning Lebron in this. Kobe is closest thing to Jordan, period. Lebron story still unwritten tho, but as of now, no chance.
Lebron almost had 0 rings.
If not for Ray Allen shot.
Irving shot.
And the year him and Wade were down 3-2 to both Indy and Boston.
Kobe beat one of the greatest 5 ever assembled with Pau Gasol as his second best player.
Rondo
Allen
Pierce
KG
Sheed Wallace
All still great, near the end of their primes.
I've watched them all since '85
Jordan
Bird
Magic
Kareem
Kobe
Lebron
Michael is the best, it really is clear and not a real discussion to be honest. Michael could do it all and on top of that athletically he had that little extra something where he could hang in the air a split second longer than any defender in the league so he could get crazy shots off.
There were incredible athletes in the league like clyde drexler Jerome kersey ron harper of course Dominique wilkins too, etc etc. But no one was like mike or really even close.
GOAT and not close. Just not close.
Hard to believe Reinsdorf didn’t just fire Krause on the spot, pay the players and Phil what they deserve, and tell them to win as many in a row as they can.
He had by far the best player, by far the best coach, by far the best No. 2 in Pippen, and by far the best supporting cast.
Yet, Reinsdorf gave all the power to the short, ugly, fat, insecure little man and allowed him to break up one of the best dynasties of all time because Krause thought he knew better than all of them.
Meh! Sounds like a typical African-American vs white-guy-in-a-suit clash. They see a laughably fat & rich white guy being classified as their boss and resent him for it. P.Jackson stirred things up as a power play. He didn't get on with the Buss' in LA (except for Jennifer) nor Mills in NY ...there's a pattern.
Kukoc had a different take.
“I’m hoping the other episodes are brighter and more of a celebration of basketball instead of who is guilty or to blame, and why didn’t they win eight championships or 10,” former Bulls forward Toni Kukoc said in a phone interview with NBC commenting on “The Last Dance” first two episodes. “The world was so happy when that was happening. So I don’t know what people are mad at.” Kukoc has also taken the defense of his former GM Jerry Krause: “Those three years that he was pursuing me and saying you gotta come, his pitch to me was, ‘You have no idea. We have this incredible coach. We have awesome older players who lead like Pax (John Paxson) and (Bill) Cartwright. We have these amazing athletes like MJ and Scottie who can do anything.’He had so much joy when he talked about that team,” Kukoc said. “He told me how crazy good it would be with me flying on the break or leading the break with MJ on one side and Scottie on the other. He was never like, ‘Oh, I built this team and I did this.’He just talked about what a great organization the Bulls were. People who weren’t there are assuming and saying, ‘Oh, his ego got in the way. That’s why he destroyed the dynasty.’Not that they don’t appreciate what he did, but you always put him down? Of course it’s going to affect someone. He’s not here, but I don’t even want to say he can’t defend himself. There’s nothing to defend. He’s the GM of the six-time champs. Name me another five people in the world who did what he did — in any sport.”
