There were a lot of people claiming that they had sources that Trump was going to announce the 14 day lockdown today at the 5 PM EST briefing today. There would be no interstate travel, no travel between states, and all flights would be grounded.

I hope the stock market pauses asap as well before the Monday open. Monday looks brutal. Already limit down in the futures market tonight and it happened very early into trading. Looks very possible they go through to Level 3 tomorrow where they stop trading for the day.

Yep, very weird that he just said it would be left to the states but now they would go to a national lockdown??? I think it means a quarantine in place for 2 weeks. No leaving the house.

This thread is ridiculous all of this is old news and there’s no rules with the CDC they are just recommendations. In fact the recommendation said that it doesn’t supersede local guidelines.

Any “lock down” would be entirely voluntary they’ve already said that.

They already suggested the people over 60 be prepared for an extended stay at home on March 10th...in case you guys don’t understand that’s what a lockdown means.

Recommendations to close bars and restaurants are being considered and followed all across the country.

Please don’t mistake CDC recommendations for some kind of federal mandate, martial law, or some sort of forced lockdown...LMAO

There’s no national curfew coming guys I know how bad you want it but it’s just local. Everything else will be voluntary unless you’ve been put in quarantine from travel.

Tomorrow the government may issue guidelines, they’re not at a stage where anything will be mandatory, states counties and cities are handling those rules, like closing bars.

Local governments will set rules but no one will force you to stay home; that’s voluntary.

Can’t emphasize enough that guidelines and recommendations from the CDC and the government are not mandatory rules.
