Correct. But we all knew... that majority of the offshore owners... had ties to the USA.... one way or another. Some even said... they wouldn't even step foot in America again. So, why are they afraid now? Because some State said so? Only way they could do anything... if BIG BROTHER Feds stepped in. And... even so.... why did they wait this long? Do they have any jurisdiction anyways?

It seems like someone fukked up during the entire process.... did the owner's think by changing .com to a .eu would set them free? Why are they afraid now? Is Costa Rica authorities going to capture the owners for the USA? Or would the USA be allowed to set foot on the soil to capture them?

Like I said... why are you afraid now? You weren't afraid 10 years ago.

Totally baffled by the balls of NJ. Furthermore, totally in awe of these owners "TURTLING" now.

well you get indicted . You have to show up for that. If you don't , you would be breaking the law. So you are now breaking the law. The USA has strong political ties to C.R. ...you want to piss them off more? Then you are rolling the dice. that is why people surrender. ... are you forgetting they chased out pinny and the others. That is why they never came back ..The feds have a lot on their plate. than chasing books in other countries. Maybe nothing happened to them and they know it is better to leave the state. Who knows what the reasons were. Then again they could of received a letter in the mail to stop what they are doing in NJ.

Absolutely makes zero sense to me.

If you could go after them now....

You could of went after them 10 years ago.
There were no state laws in place for New Jersey to do anything with before.

There was no govt department responsible for enforcement of gaming laws charged with protecting state revenue.

And who said NJ "is going after bookmaker" anyway?

CRIS a legal business, who takes their own legal advice, and is just as likely to have made the decision themselves as be reacting to anyone.

Never meant to direct it totally at Bookmaker. It was a general statement towards all books offshore.

USA only goes after select books? I would imagine it would be directed to all books in the next few years.

If they are starting to turtle now... then there won't be an offshore for US Players anymore.

Why didn't Nevada care for the last 20 years? Were they in bed with some books offshore? Doesn't make any sense about New Jersey's little dikk.

I honestly have no inside info and do not know what will happen.

In other places, the legally responsible books like Bookmaker and Pinnacle have tried not to step on toes of mainstream licensed jurisdictions like UK and Australia and pulled out. Either on their own or after being asked. I do not think there were any fights about it.

As far as other offshores... most of us, including the DOJ only appeared to find out for sure who 5D Tony after he went missing. I don't think the books setup like that without an identified USA connected operator will be reacting the same way as CRIS personally.

But we'll have to wait and see. Laws that ban promoting their service into legal states are a lot easier to prove than breaches under the old federal laws, and probably have a lot scarier penalties available.

Devastating if you can't use offshore because of regulated/licensed sites.

American products are absolute garbage compared to offshore. It's possible to make money betting with offshore as they don't limit you as much, have great promotions/bonuses and better lines. For the guys betting $20 a game I'm sure they love the legal and regulated options. Anyone serious definitely does not.

Bovada banned New Jersey years ago.
