Washington Wizards Prepared To Blow It Up
As the Washington Wizards' season spirals, the franchise has started to deliver teams an impression that every player on their roster -- including All-Star guards John Wall and Bradley Beal -- is available for discussion in trade scenarios, league sources told ESPN.

    Notable 2019-20 Wizards Contracts

The Wizards have a lot of money tied up in four players, limiting financial flexibility in next summer's free agency. At the moment, the Wizards are already over the cap for the 2019-20 season and John Wall's 4-year, $171 million extension kicks in next season as well.

    PLAYER SALARY
    John Wall $38.2M
    Otto Porter Jr. $27.3M
    Bradley Beal $27.1M
    Ian Mahinmi $15.5M

Washington's preference remains to reshape the team around Wall and Beal, but poor play among key teammates is limiting their trade value and paralyzing the Wizards' efforts to make meaningful changes to a roster that no longer appears functional together, league sources said.

The Wizards (5-11) have resisted including Wall or Beal in previous trade talks, including discussions that they held for the league's past two available stars, Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler, league sources said. While Washington hasn't shopped its All-Star backcourt, it is rapidly becoming apparent to the organization that it needs to start considering overtures for them.

Washington had hopes that forwards Otto Porter and Kelly Oubre could be centerpieces of deals that could return an impactful third star, but those players have fetched minimal interest on the market. Porter has a massive contract on the books, including three years, $81 million left.

Coach Scott Brooks was fierce in his criticism of the Wizards after back-to-back home losses to Brooklyn and Portland this weekend.

"We got to just play with more enthusiasm, more effort, more energy," Brooks told reporters on Sunday night. "It's embarrassing."

The Wizards are just two games ahead of last-place Atlanta in the Southeast Division.

Beal, 25, could turn out to be the guard with the most value on the trade market, with his 3-point shooting ability, a more manageable contract and being three years younger than Wall.

Wall's contract extension starts in 2019-20 and will average $42 million annually for four years. What further complicates moving Wall is the inclusion of a 15 percent trade kicker in his deal. Wall is a five-time All-Star who has been a favorite of ownership.

Beal's contract is the only one teams would want - they should fire the coach and bring someone who knows what they are doing.

Looking at these contracts, they should fire the GM.

                  In no particular order:

Wall and Beal call out teammates.
Rivers says people are laughing at Wizards.
                  Oubre hurls expletives at Brooks.
Beal and Rivers get into it.
Wall and Green have verbal altercation.
                  Wall curses out Brooks.
                  Beal blames Grunfeld.
                  Dwight's butt hurts.

The Oubre one is the most surprising. A role player can't do that to a coach... The GM needs to go -they just keep bringing in horrible people. Even the ones that have since left - Lawson, Jennings - horrible.

edit: speaking of Jennings, he's about to part ways with his Russian team. He didn't play defense for them... sound familiar?

Hornets are trying to get Beal. Hope it happens. I have the Hornets winning the SE at 20-1.

All these issues have been going on for years....so they decide to add Dwight Howard to the mix.

"Bradley Beal is a perfect fit for LeBron James... He's a 24-point-a-game guy playing with LeBron, playing with Lonzo."

Lakers should be all in for John Wall. They missed the boat on Jimmy B and I think JW and LJ would be a better 1-2 punch than Steph/Kev

                                  Lakers get: Wall & Oubre
                                  Wizards: Ingram + Ball + KCP + 2019 1st

Lakers 1 potential superstar away from becoming the new dynasty and taking the crown from GSW.
