Weed is just like anything we put in our body. Everybody reacts differently. Some people get happy when they drink some get ornery or sad. Some become alcoholics, some don't. Weed is the same.

I know all types. I know very successful people who smoke weed. But then I also know people who are just happy in their situation and are unmotivated to improve.

If all you do when you smoke is watch movies and eat dorritos. Then after awhile all you want to do when you smoke is watch movies and eat doritos. When my friends and I did it, we would go mountain biking, play basketball, go surfing or skiing (southern CA raised if you can't tell by now). So whenever I got high,I had to do something, I couldn't sit around.

I used to have regular keggers. Nothing huge, just about 50 people. I used to grow my own and had plenty. I got sick of drunken aggression so I started putting out some of my weed with papers and my bong in the backroom for people who wanted to partake. My parties became much more manageable.

You can believe whatever you want but I would rather be in a room with 100 stoners than 100 drunkards (unless the drunkards are all hot women).

I haven't touched the stuff since I got married as that was the moment I became a parent (girlfriend had a 10 year old). The main reason is because even though I was not anti pot I still didn't want to encourage my kid to do it. For the exact reason mentioned earlier, you have no idea how your body chemistry will react until you do it.

If you believe in personal freedom, then you have to support legalization of it on the same level as alcohol. If you don't then you don't really support personal freedom then. Alcohol is PROVEN to be a bigger public health issue than weed by a very large margin so any public menace argument dies there. And the gateway arguments are mute as well. For two reasons: 1.) when weed is illegal people need to get it from the black market. A lot of dealers deal in other things, things that are highly addictive and it is in their best interest to move you to one of those more physically addictive drugs. 2.) this is an easy switch for them because kids have already tried weed. Their experience with it is opposite from all the anti-propaganda they have been exposed to so it becomes, "they have lied to me about this maybe they are lying about the rest." Maybe not as a conscious thought but it's a motivation.

Again, think about it the way you want. Your description is not entirely untrue but at the same time it is not entirely true.

i used to smoke it, still will sometimes, but there are many
who should not drive when stoned, and it does change your head.

pro-legalization advocates talk like pot and alcohol are exclusive,

when in reality they are peanut butter and chocolate, 90% of all pot
smokers i know and knew drank alcohol while smoking weed.
