No matter what happens the dems have a great shot next election no matter how well Trump does.
There are going to be even more kids who will be allowed to vote in 2020 on top of every sheep out there like d2 and rkelly who will vote Dem NO MATTER WHAT. You can make a reasonable case that trump will be the dog next election. You can't under estimate the bitterness of children like d2 and rkelly as it builds for the next 4 years. They will jump at the chance to vote against trump now that he won.
