    5dimes won't let me
    Edit by SBR:

    Hi guys,

We spoke with 5Dimes - it is a standard security measure for accounts to periodically update their password. Rather than forcing it on all users every X amount of days, it is an automatic process that runs on a case by case basis. There's nothing to worry about, just update your credentials and keep in mind safe password practices. Management recommended players perform this reset on a PC. SBR listed some suggestions on how to keep your sportsbook accounts secure in this article last year. This applies to all sites, especially where you hold funds such as online banking. Use strong passwords and change them every so often.

As for the OP's inquiry of providing ID, this is a standard KYC measure as other posters have noted, especially when depositing with plastic. To read more about why KYC is important and how it helps protect you in the long-run, read this article.

into my account unless I send them a Photo ID. Tried to take my money out and they said since I put in with a Debit card they will need a Photo ID of it 1st. Something ain't right and I'll be damned if I'm going to send them photo ids of anything. Guess I'll call it a loss.

its standard, all sportsbooks need to verify identity before sending money. they could be sending money to someone underaged, or someone which has multiple accounts, or someone that was banned from using the sportsbook etc

But they won't let me into my account to bet the money there unless I send them a photo id

I was locked out of my account today too. Think it said as part of a security audit or something like that.

I only had to click a button and then an email link and then change password though.

Do they want a photo of the card or of your personal ID?

It is normal to request ID when you use credit/debit card. That is why I never do.

I sent them a photo ID yesterday. They wanted to send me a code to my email so I could update my password and for identity verification. However, I never got the code in my email. I got on live chat and they asked me a bunch of stuff and said that the email address I was using wasn't the one they had on file. Made me answer more stuff and send in a photo ID. They processed everything pretty damn quick and I was able to get access to my account again.

I had to reset my password the other day.
I think something bigger happened after seeing this thread.
Maybe they got hacked and are keeping it low key

I thought it was weird when they asked for a full frontal shot holding the day's paper last week

Had a couple of my CC's info stolen in the last few months. Could have come from anywhere, but I'd be very careful with your info. I had one small ID theft in 43 years. However have had it happen 4 times in the last 6 months. This crazy world is certainly changing. I may go back to nothing but a cash basis soon.

I had one small ID theft in 43 years. However have had it happen 4 times in the last 6 months. This crazy world is certainly changing. I may go back to nothing but a cash basis soon.

We spoke with 5Dimes - it is a standard security measure for accounts to periodically update their password. Rather than forcing it on all users every X amount of days, it is an automatic process that runs on a case by case basis. Management recommended players perform this reset on a PC. There's nothing to worry about, just update your credentials and keep in mind safe password practices: SBR listed some suggestions on how to keep your sportsbook accounts secure in this article last year.
