Ok guys I'm not one to lay 7+ points in the NFL often, but I think Patriots -8 vs Dolphins in Foxborough is a gift.
1. JETS are a very good team, so them keeping it tight with the Pats has nothing to do with the Phins.
2. TEXANS are trash, so Miami destroying them has little to do with Pats, other than he fact that some Miami starters got to sit and rest in the second half.
4. In fact, Tannehil never completed a pass more than 15 yards down field last game. If the Dolphins get behind they really won't be able to get back in it.
5. Road TNF are typically at a disadvantage
But here's the real deal:
6. Miami interim head coach is a big jacked dude who got his team riled up to play hard. That worked for a couple weeks off the bye, but will wear off on a short week to prepare for the Pats. The guy can motivate effort, but in no way can out coach Bill Bellicheck.
I am not a fan of either team, actually hate Tom Brady, but I have to respect his revenge tour he's putting on across the NFL. In a short week I trush Bellicheck to get his guys ready to throw down in Foxborough.
And the Pats never take their foot off the gas pedal, which is a big reason why I have less of a problem laying large spreads with the Pats than any other team.
Finally, I expect patriots to be healthier than they've been recently. LaFell will be back & healthier, Dion Lewis will likely play, and it looks like a number of defensive players may be available who were previously injured.
