I’d be shocked by nothing NHL or hockey but Carolina looks scared out there. Scared is the only word I have for them right now.

Hurricanes are done but I can see Oilers still making their series decent. I still have them beating Stars.

Maybe the Leafs aren't as bad as people are saying. They took them to 7 games whereas Carolina might lose the series in 3.

Florida looks unbeatable right now and if they don't suffer a couple key injuries, they are gonna win it again.

That Niko Mikkola is a monster on D. It's almost not fair.

Toronto is elite but they are missing the edge you need in the playoffs to win. They need to get some defensive stoppers in there. A few more tough guys in the room. They have ran through GM’s, coaches, etc… for a long time. Shanny just got fired too and he is one of my hockey heroes. You can’t simply out score people in May/June… the playoffs require so much more up and down the lines. Goaltending also has to show up in spots. Toronto a fishbowl. If you win there you will be a legend forever but losing there is like the end of the world.

My bad Headster- accidently hit “edit” instead of quote… here are my thoughts:

Carolina is scared of Florida and it shows. They might get one game but it’s pretty lopsided. Brind’amour can say a play here or there but they are getting ambushed fast and furious.

I expect Oilers/Stars to be a good series. Very deep teams with skilled players up and down the roster. Goaltending obviously huge here and Oilers gave the last game away with dumb ass shifts and plays. Can’t be on the power play 4 times and lose 60% of the faceoffs. That’s asking for trouble. tonight big

It’s all good. Even before the series started, I had Panthers sweeping Canes. It’s over and can’t imagine Canes winning a game in that rat infested arena.

Oilers looking good so far in G2 but I’ll be drinking heavily during 3P in anticipation of their utter failure in 3P last game.

Frederick Anderson is killing Carolina all by himself.
I'm just a casual NHL fan, but I thought Anderson was supposed to be a good goaltender.

Eight goals allowed in the first two playoff games is just wrong.
That's not a good look for an NHL goalkeeper to get pulled from the game like that last night.
