You know you did your job well when people that never met you are saddened. I know I am.
Everybody knew his name . He’s the reason people get “Normed” when they walk into a room.
Rest easy sir.Job well done.

Without question, the best sitcom of the '80s.
That NBC Thursday lineup was stacked (Cosby, Family Ties with Michael J. Fox, the original Night Court, and Hill Street Blues)
I love crime dramas, Hill Street Blues was a monster series.
Created by Steven Bocho, who created NYPD Blue with his sidekick David Milch later, are two all-time greats, and took Dennis Franz along with them. I loved Sipowicz.
Dick Wolf was writing the scripts (before he created the Law and Order franchise) is the GOAT of crime dramas.
Yeah, I grew up with Norm, and I loved him too.
What's not to love? 'Da Bears.
Talk about stacked? I had a thing for Melissa Joan Hart when I was kid back in the day.

My favorite:
Woody: "What's going on Mr. Peterson..?"
Norm: "Woody, It's more important what's going IN Mr. Peterson...!"
RIP to a comedy great!

This!! Well I guess a lot of us from that era did feel like we knew him although never actually meeting him in person. Sign of a good sitcom.
Hard for me to digest it's been 32 years since the show went off the air.
