I've still won exactly nothing on SftC, so this would give me a chance at some points, at least.

Yisman..you have been best player streak wise in last year's version. I always go for more picks when I have small streaks, like picking stupid soccer or tennis which always kills small streaks or gives u longer losing streaks.

I don't go for most wins per month, b/c there's no chance there unless u get like 4 streaks of 10+ during the month. I ibv. go for longer streak

this years version is more strategy, once you hit 5 or 6 or 7, you slow down and pick only 1 a night, or even take a night off

So, for our SBR contest, i would say longest of the month wins, not highest win % or most wins per month. Wouldn't be fair to others, such of Mexican Stallion who is DOING WORK w/ 8 gm streak, but only picking a pick or 2 a night

I love this game, and love the new format. Having a new chance at 100k each month is cool.

How many wins do you think it will take to win the month? Right now. 1 active at 16 in a row, with a bunch stalled out, and it is only the 12th of the month.

No clue really. I will guess it will take more than 16 in a row though. I will shoot for 19 or 20 to win the month.

I also had the most monthly wins in the group for the last four months. I'm not slow-playing it.

Go back a few posts and I said the same thing.

Monthly doesn't make sense because it mostly rewards those who are on all the time and make every pick (then from that small group, whoever picks the best wins). Winning percentage is the best indicator of skill, but the game does not reward that.

The game rewards building the longest possible streak within a single month, so that's how we'll play as well.

For some reason I've been very cold in this new year and I'm not even at 60%, but I think I'll be able to turn things around, get above 60% and build some solid streaks. My longest so far is 5, which is crazy. I was so hot the last few months of 2009 that I would get 7-10 streaks, lose them, and be back up there within a week or less.

yeah, it's very strange.

We got very few new posters in the old thread.

Could be because the link to join wasn't in the first few posts. I created the group some pages in and of course it couldn't be edited in.
