Yeah GL. I hit a parlay similar to this like in 2003. I was lucky when I was young (1999) to inherit like 350k,(mom died in car crash, parents were divorced) after being stupid to the obvious and 75k down in just a year started to wise up. Oh boy what a learning curve endured.
here are a few great ideas generally speaking investment wise, nothing wrong with dreaming!!
CLOZ very stable aaa bond
QDTE w/hedge SQQQ leaving 20% gap to the up side
DIVO sp500
vym sp500
Sitting on a $1.2M payout if Zverev/Keys win the AO with no cashout safety net

If you are getting a risk free $1m. You can use that to generate a practical risk free 100k salary (over 8k month income) a year for life. Who in god's name can't live off that, and not be satisfied?? Only people that cannot are the un-educated, and people in serious debt, non-house owners, car payments or leases. All goes back to the same un-educated thing. Be smart and GL. Once in a lifetime opportunity here

Big-time thread. We root for Dougy, b/c he's one of us.
I used to get the heart-palpitations when I had a football ATS play coming down to the wire. On this play, Dougy will get a free cardio workout. Imagine his heart working if this thing goes to the wire.Leave a comment:

Before womens final he put 26k on a Keys/Sinner parlay to pay about 150k. Which puts him about where he was before his recent losing streak of 100kish.
So he is sitting on a freeroll for 1.2million.
Personally I might take up Biggie's offer for a couple of hundred K more of a hedge, but I don't think anyone can really give this guy advice on what to do. Clearly he has enough smarts about futures and hedging to handle this one!Leave a comment:

How hard are we rooting for Doug to drill this?
I'm honestly surprised that Keys was able to get this done. 29 years old is pretty old for a tennis player.
Doug, I hope you nail this w/ Zverev. He's very accomplished for not having won a Major yet. Sinner is a monster, I hope Zverev cashes for you.Leave a comment:

Can you summarize this thread up to its current state? Like the "for dummies" version? It's a lot to sort through.
As I understand it, Zverev wins and you net 1.2M? When is the match?
Is there a hedge involved to guarantee profit?Leave a comment:

When you win. Cash it all out. Pretend your still playing with your 50-100k bankroll. They will be kissing your ass and bending over backwards to try and get the money back.Leave a comment:

Lets go! Doug don't need the booby prize. We are going all in for Zverev. This is his best chance for a Grand Slam and he knows it. Also he can make a small gambler rich tonite for the rest of his life.Leave a comment:

After Keys won, it definitely feels like a weight has been lifted off my chest since I couldn't even sleep last night. Binged 4 eps of Person of Interest on Prime waiting on that result. I still don't consider this risk-free considering how much is at stake but I definitely won't be watching. I'll DVR it like the Keys match & only watch the last set if Zverev wins.Leave a comment:

Dougy if I knew you better I could have potentially helped you out for a % but it's too big a stake for you to disappear on the loss.
Anyways Good luck. If you hit it will be like 4.5x any bet I've ever won on sports.
are you not close enough to goto a live casino and place the wager in cash. You might get early access to the funds if you wire direct to casino sucks this is on the weekend though. I'm guessing getting to extend credit is out of the question ?

Not sure at this point who is sweating these bets more. Doug or the book manager.Leave a comment:

Thanks Shea but I already hedged Keys with Sinner. I'd have 153.7k if Sinner wins so betting my remaining balance on him would only get back another $6650. I have 104k in a HYSA but the most I could transfer out immediately is 50k & that wire wouldn't hit FanDuel until at least Monday. At this point, I'll just leave it alone.
I hope Zverev wins.Leave a comment:

Haven't picked up a baseball since that summer in 2021. I'd give it another shot but they tore down that structure & rebuilt something else there. Not entirely sure what, but it's closed off.Leave a comment:

No that's me. Someone actually did do that last yr with the Sinner/Saba slip once the cashout hit 60k before the Men's Final. Hilarious reading how everyone was imploring whoever posted it to cashout the 60k.Leave a comment:

I hope u win Tom. If u win u have to go throw the baseball off the wall one time.Leave a comment:
