How about Amen Thompson picking off mitchells dribble at one of the final possessions of the game. The Thompson bros are absolutely demons on def.

Garland still the guy who folds in the big spot

dude loves to drive into bigger players, give them an easy block and sometimes an easy fast break opportunity for the opponent

he did that when it was 104-104... got bailed out when rockets player didn't pass it to brooks when mitchell stayed on him and instead mitchell gets a clean block called after a challenge by cavs

Knicks with a healthy Towns will give Indy, C's, and Cavs trouble in the playoffs.
And I'm not a NYK fan.

If Zinger is 100 percent in the playoffs, then nobody is going to beat the Celtics again.

What is it with these guys? They f cuk something up and they're all smiles. Garland misses 2/3 FT in a 2pt game with 4secs to play... all smiles. Probably killing him inside. J.Allen on the other hand a different story... very affable/ goofy guy. Soft team here, physically and mentally. I don't think they have any chance in the playoffs.

Pacers are my pick to come out of the East. Imagine if they get Cam Johnson...

Very good insight, Mac. NBA has a lot of scheduling spots. Pointing this out shows how sharp you are.

Can only play so many players. Ty Jerome has proven himself vital also.

These white guys didn;t get the proper playing time under Bickerstaff. Racism alive and well in the coaching game -probably from both sides. See Bickerstaff refusing to start Fontecchio in Detroit for instance... He's just what Cunningham needs.
Bickerstaff didn’t trust anyone outside of his big 4. His bench could never play loose because he never gave them established minutes and would throw all of them in the doghouse if they made one mistake. JB is a good culture coach, he’s doing a great job in Detroit but I don’t think he can get you a title. Sort of like Mark Jackson.

Watching this on demand. The thing that stands out about the thunder is the 11mins for Jalyin. If Chet were available there'd be some concern about the frontline fit with Hartenstein but they wouldn't have to play Jalyin at all! ...young player, out of his depth in the big games.

The 129 points was the most OKC gave up all season and Mitchell had one of his worst shooting night. He was 3-16 with just 11 points. This Cavs team can beat you so many ways. We don’t need Spida every night for all the Spida haters.

Trae Young’s half court buzzer beater vs Utah last night was a fantastic game but this game felt like a game 7 playoff game. High level from both teams. Excellent performance from both teams.

30 lead changes in that game. That was one of the best games this season. Cavs break OKCs 15 game win streak. They play OKC next week in OKC and the Cavs could have a 14 game win streak.

OKC the number one defense gave up 129 points tonight and Mitchell had his worst game of the season. How do you stop the Cavs offense? CAVALANCHE baby!

Butler reportedly doesn't want to play in Milwaukee -although that didn't stop the Bucks trading for Lillard. I don't think he'd fit well there. I don't believe Anteto' is an easy guy to play with unless you're a role player. He just dominates the ball for long stretches, particularly eating up all the easy opportunities for himself.

You know I like OKC this year. I view the OKC players as APPRECIATING ASSETS.

They might STILL be the youngest team in the league. You rarely see all the core players at an age where they expect to improve. From what I've seen SGA is the perfect super-star, since he's still humble.

I'm sure you're right about Boston. They've played a lot of games. They're coasting. They're probably not too worried about the 1-seed. Great teams from the past were similarly dis-interested.
Yep, OKC is still the youngest team in the NBA. But that’s my only knock on them. I don’t think OKC has had their hearts ripped out enough. Almost every NBA championship team has had to have lost in depressing fashion before they climbed to the top. I really can’t think of a team that didn’t lose several times in the playoffs before finally breaking through. That experience in losing is crucial.

    Youngest teams by average age…
    • Oklahoma City Thunder — 24.148
    • Portland Trail Blazers — 24.200
    • San Antonio Spurs — 24.209
    • Detroit Pistons — 24.278
    • Memphis Grizzlies — 24.360

Boston is 5-5 the last 10 games. I think Boston is just going through the motions. Once they get motivated, they are still the favorites. I think Bostons 5 starters are slightly better than Cleveland’s 5 starters BUT Cleveland’s bench of 10, 11 and 12 are better. Can, will they continue to use the bench in the playoffs? Or shorten rotations?

This will be the 1st time in NBA history teams from both leagues playing each other with at least 0.850 win percentage this late in season. Tomorrow’s game is MUST WATCH. Can’t wait…

    1) They're playing very well. I haven't looked, but I feel confident in saying that Boston will be the betting favorite in the East. Even if CLE secures the 1-seed.

    2) In the pre-season I heard some NBA bettors saying that they didn't think BOS would be a Dog all season. I saw that the Celts were in fact dogs @Cle and @OKC (and the Celts lost both games).

    3) OKC-CLE would be a final I'd root for. Still a long ways off from that.

Believe it or not: The Cavaliers are one of the most dominant teams we've ever seen

    • The Cavs have won their 31 games by an average of 11.83 points, which would be the fifth-highest average margin of victory in NBA history, according to Stathead. The only teams to finish a season with a higher average margin: the 1972 Lakers, the 1971 Bucks and the 1996 Bulls. They all won the NBA title.
    • Simple rating system, which accounts for a team’s point differential and strength of schedule, pegs the Cavs as one of the 13 strongest teams in league history. Nine of the 12 teams that have finished a season with a higher SRS than Cleveland’s went to the NBA Finals; eight won.
    • The Cavs aren’t just leading the NBA in points scored per possession; according to Jared Dubin’s adjusted efficiency metric, Cleveland has the third most efficient offense since the ABA-NBA merger in 1976.
    • Because they also remain excellent on defense — sixth in defensive efficiency this season, according to Cleaning the Glass — the Cavs own an era-adjusted scoring margin of plus-10.4 points-per-100 above league average, according to Dubin. Only eight teams since the merger have finished with a margin higher than 10. Six of them won the title.

Good under-the-radar test for them coming up. Mavs might not look much without Doncic but they are a tough nut to crack in their place. Not doubting the Cavs though!
