Yeah, I was taken aback some when I read that.
When I think of KAT, it's usually that of a guy who'll get you 20+/10+ night in and night out for the past decade.

KAT will never make any sportswriter's DPOY list, but I don't think he's an atrocious defender either.
It's still very early in this current campaign, and if anybody can straighten this out it's Thibadeau, but these numbers are beyond disturbing.

To date, opponents have converted 32 of 35 shots taken in the 'restricted zone' with KAT defending, 91 percent if you will.

Small sample size? Yes.
A startling percentage? An even bigger Yes.

You mean an even bigger yes to you, but not to anyone else. He's always been a substandard defender -why do you think the T'Wolves got Gobert while he was still on the roster?

Which player so far is this season's (minimum of six game starts) worst rim protector/defender.
*Rim defender is defined as a contested defender on shots taken in the restricted zone*

I would have said Dame Dolla. Maybe they’re only looking at bigs but teams are just abusing Dame in the paint and he’s offered zero resistance.

I think both teams will be at almost full strength. No Porzingus for the Cs and no Strus for the Cavs. That arena is going to be insane. Boston hasn’t been playing well imo of late. I’m not sure why but they’re playing down. They’ll probably be favored. Take the Cavs no matter the line. Boston has nothing to prove. They don’t need to get to Vegas for the Cup. The Cavs will be playing for the cup and getting to Vegas. It’s one more step in their progression. They’re already talking about what it would mean to the team.
