Looks as though Sale will indeed take the mound today...

It would behoove the Metropolitans to win game one, if not I can see NY getting swept.
Sale would never pitch if Braves win game 1, if he did the manager is an idiot

hell no, considering taking Mets at that price.
Sure they will be at a disadvantage but those playing will be trying to win. It would be a nice feather in their cap to boot division rival from the playoffs.

Looks like Holmes is listed as the Braves starter for game 2?
How do the Braves not pitch Sale here? Snitker is going to get lambasted if they lose and leave Sale on the bench.

Ahh that makes sense, was trying to figure out what Snitker was thinking not going with their ace in a must win game.
Assuming the Braves win game 2, I wonder what his availability will be for tomorrow and the remainder of the wild card series?

I assume Braves will win game 2 as I expect Mets to rest everyone they can but how that game ended it was going to be shitty for the loser. If their other starter doesn't last long and they still win the Braves will be heavily depleted against the Paxres in game 1.

One would have to assume he is in unbearable pain or unable to go through his windup or throwing motion.
Regardless, not great optics for Sale not going in a game of this magnitude.

Dbacks were in same scenario past 2 games against San Diego and managed to win one of the 2 games.

if you were the Mets, would you rather play San Diego or Milwaukee? If they win game 2, they have a much shorter trip.

San Diego. Milwaukee for them has been nothing but nightmares. Both good teams but I don't like facing Brewers. Those fuks have Mets number. I mean it has been utter domination last two seasons playing them.

I would rather see Mets playing the Dodgers or Phillies before the Brewers.

Snakes had five regular hitters in the lineup that hit 20 + taters this season. (almost six)
But the pitching gave up ten runs six times in September alone.
Arizona's pitching down the stretch was stinkier than a diaper full of bad Thai food.
Baseball time and time and time again has proven without good pitching you're not winning squadoosh.
