#6It is interesting from a handicapping standpoint:
*If someone was sure that Young was dead-money, they must have done well fading him.
*So many guys (including me) thought that he couldn't be this bad. Lost $$ backing him.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#7Too bad. I was gonna moneyline fade him in every game this season. Who cares how absurd the price is when it's a? It has been a long time [DeMarcus Russell?] since I've seen a number 1 pick that was this bad. And he is somehow worse than last year.

#8Carolina Benches Young in Favor of Dalton this Sunday
The Carolina Panthers are benching former first overall pick Bryce Young and going with veteran Andy Dalton as the starting quarterback, coach Dave Canales said Monday.
The decision to bench Young was made by Canales, general manager Dan Morgan and executive vice president Brandt Tilis, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The team was informed of the move during position meetings, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.Comment -

#10don't worry guys
just fade the Colts
coach is another loser just like Frank Reich is and was
they play the backup QB for the Packers and the coaching staff isn't smart enough to stack the box and make sure you don't get beat by the run game and QB runs/scrambles???
facing a backup QB you game plan to stuff the run and force that guy to make quality throws to guys v man coverage
but NOPE, as usual the Colts are allergic to man coverage or putting 8+ in the box early in a season.
just continue to get run over play after play, and the Packers had 200+ rush yards by half time. without a fumble on the 1 yard line the Packers would've been up 17-0 at half
how are you professional NFL Football coaches and you DON'T RECOGNIZE the EASIEST GAME PLAN OF ALL-TIME to select implement for a game?
and the coach, down just 10 at half has ball on his OWN 45 to start the 3rd Q and faces a 4th and 4... and he panics and goes for it like a clown. This is NFL football. You punt deep, pin them back around the 10 or better... play defense and get the ball back and now you will most likely have great starting field position down just 10 with 1.5+ quarters left to play
Nope. down 10 go for it and fail and give the Packers the ball where they need 5 yards to try a FG
the guy is a clown and I won't even type his name out
FADE HIM. he basically gets too aggressive at the wrong time, too early and chases points and when his team fails because they can't execute on tough 4th downs the % of a comeback goes from hard to nearly impossibleComment -

#15Why bench him for Andy Dalton? Maybe Dalton can get them a few wins but I'd rather just give Young the full year. See what he can do for a 2nd full year. I agree he's looked bad but lets not forget that Darnold and Mayfield looked bad there too and now that they are elsewhere they're winning games.Comment -

#22I'm surprise people say they back him? He is 5 10...Also the team is garbage and has been. He can't even see the middle of the field over his lineman. With the NFC South being so bad for the past years it just makes it worse. Maybe he should put lifts in his cleats.Comment -

#28after following his career since he was at mater dei HS in orange county, CA and then his years at bama, i am going to say he has at least one year as an all pro in the NFL.
it may take 10-12 years but i believe it will happen.
he is only 23 years young.
i say he hits the gym big time in the offseason and comes back stronger next year and continues the cycle.Comment -

#29never.
it is not over until it is over.
i watched Vinny Testaverde go from laughing stock at Tampa Bay in those orange creamcicle popsicles get chastised and then 10 years later he was taking the jets to the AFC championship game.
it is never over until it is over.
not with a young 23 year old who has so much time left in his career and to fill out that stickman body LOLComment -

#31He is a bust but not as big as Russell. He got drafted because of one game. Russell had a lot of problems off the field even before he got drafted. The owner fell in love with the QB and just looked over the big negatives and made them pick them. Also besides Tua is the only QB to come out of Alabama to have a career lately.Comment -
