You're right. Most pools will now be cleared out.
Survival Pools are pretty lame, tho. Fantasy FB (in general) is pretty lame, b/c of all the computer projections.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

40 of us are left in SBR survivor with 3 pending Eagles on MNF. This is the second week in the row that the biggest fav, in terms of pts spread, lost.
Next week, it looks like so far 4 teams are tied @ -7. So be careful out there survivors.

Got knocked out of the 1st Pool I ever entered quite early. Kept on telling myself to take HOU instead of BAL but was too impatient to wait for the 8:20 game. No idea what they're doing rearranging these Pools with now a $100 entry fee & making the 1 for $1000 only 25k. My one & only time ever doing this.
Fukk BAL. At least I took HOU where it really mattered.

Cincinnati is up to -9, time for a Redskins upset.

Bengals were the big favorite who lost Week 1 and now they’re the big favorite in Week 3. Can’t believe they would loss again, but I’m definitely not picking them in survivor contest. 🤣
Mmm… I take the Redskins +9 though.

Lots of big chalk week 3. Picks will probably be spread out enough to prevent another mass culling.

That Barkley TD being revered kicked me out of the players TD survivors contest along with many others. This season has been an early burial for many.

@RunYourPool:
Highest Elimination Rate Yet No joke—this is the highest number of eliminations we’ve ever seen in the first two weeks of the NFL season. A staggering 73% of you are out, and we haven’t even reached Week 3 yet. To put that in perspective, the average elimination rate over the last seven years is just 35%. Talk about a brutal start to the season!

Took Jets last night so see you remaining SBR survivors next week.
Be careful w/ Bengals as line dropped to -7 but still the biggest favs this week w/ Niners and Browns @ -6.5.

Oh man! Will a three straight week the biggest favorite will outright lose!? So far 8 of us have moved on to next week. Yesterday, Browns took out 8 players and will Bengals match that as 8 players have them. Not looking good.

The reason Survivor is/was the best value for your $ is because most contests (50% ?) are filled with clueless entrants like yourself. Go back to your own thread and digest some of the advice I attempted to give to you.

Five of the six biggest favs lost SU, the only exception being the Jets. Has that ever happened before in the NFL?

There was a year, maybe 15 years or so ago, where AZ was like a 19pt dog at NE. Many pools lost circa 85% week 1. One I was in started a whole new pool.
The only way to win a large pool is to avoid big favorites at least 3 or 4 weeks of the 18. My friend and protege started playing 3 years ago. He started this year by playing all middling teams. He has 4 (started with 6) live entries of 64 remaining, with a prize of 25K. Circa 1300 started.

Well said. 2 of the last 3 years I've been in the top 10-20 of the 2 pools I play. Last year I was counting the $ and deciding how to collect 25K, cash? It took me weeks to get over. If I had a dollar for every hour I spent, well you get the idea. Net $0. Wife says "Well it kept you busy and you had fun" ???????????????????????????????????

Not sure how many you play but after doing this for 15+ years, My recommendation is no more than 2 serious pools and 8 entries is about right for # of entries. I play a $25 entry (8), and a $50 entry with 1 rebuy < week 4 for 4 entries. $25 entry pool is circa 1200 entries and $50 pool is circa 300.

My thinking with your strategy is that it's hard to not replicate your plays over 10 pools. I'm comfortable with mine where there are 2 different strategies for each. 2 people tried to overwhelm the pool last 2 years with 40 last year and 50 this year. Guy with 40 busted last year and this. He is like Tushy.
Despite being busted out of 1 pool mostly LV I'm still in great spot in other.
