I'm shocked this didn't happen years ago, and this wasn't even a terror strike.
CrowdStrike said it was a software 'burp' during a routine update.

The problem here is they can't 'roll back' in other words abort and restore with a recent backup.

So has this problem been resolved?

Not sure why it had such a big impact on airports.

Insane. I've thought for some time:

*People have become so inept. Why is everyone so attached to the phone/internet etc?

I swear it's a Dumbing Down of America.

Don't be sucked into the lies Chucky.

                        Google is your friend.

Dominion machines not affected at all, because of course they are not connected. Billion dollar defamation case found the truth of how they work already.

Some windows laptops that handled voter registration is the fault.

                          This is disturbing.
CrowdStrike is an industry leader, this is inexcusable.

CrowdStrike update that caused global outage likely skipped checks, experts say (cnbc.com)

They installed a System Driver with a null pointer in it. Windows panics and shuts down on spot.

Should be standard practice anywhere to run a simple tool to check for null pointers in C++ code.

Or probably should not be using C++ for it at all anymore.

Seems like a very slack system to let that sort of error through.
