Maybe, Johnny. But I see some logistical issues. Reggie Miller called out the strategy during the game:

*Dallas is better prepared (than MIN) for these games.
...The key is moving Gobert out of the paint. Mostly via the Pick/Roll.
...On the game-winner, they got Doncic vs Gobert in space.
...Gobert cheats to the driver, which frees up Gafford/Lively for the easy dunks.

Edwards has (frankly) been disappointing. DALL is cheating the defense to him, and they're making his life miserable.

If Reid hadn't gone crazy on 3's tonite, DALL would have won by 10. MINN has to correct these problems to give themselves a chance.

I don't see how an intentional foul in that situation is a smart idea at all. Of course with a crystal ball you can argue it's better than a made three, but sometimes shots fall.. giving out freebies is not a superior alternative strategy.

I'm torn on this one, Juan:

1) On one hand, MINN is probably value at +3. Would love to see +3.5.

2) See all my Mav notes. The Mavs improved in the 2nd half of the season after acquiring Wash/Gafford...and getting Lively back from injury.

Dallas has been a different team from FEB on.

Juan, I thought about this one. So far, DALL is winning the coaching matchup.

One adjustment that I expect to see = Gobert sagging off the Pick/Roll and staying in the paint.
...MIN is better off letting a driver go to the hole.
...They've been getting killed by defenders leaving Gaff/Live free for uncontested lobs.

If they can't solve that, they will get swept out. I do think Game 3 will be lower-scoring and very tight.

I'm of the opinion you don't let Doncic get the ball 1 on 1. I don't know why they didn't blitz him and force him to give it up. Could have fouled Lively on the roll and he's a horrible free throw shooter

ive missed 90% of the playoff games this year. too many injuries for me to really care. I'm wondering how this team swept suns and beat denver (taking two away games too). First team I've seen that had their defense win games and series and then later became their weakness its ugly.
