    Not that hard.
Hard to win every game with no draws.
Madrid could have gone undefeated this year too.

I'll stick with my opinion. They supplanted the perennial champ. Un-defeated in a big league, I'm very impressed.

The team had a great fighting spirit. From the old Liverpool teams:
*I know that Gerrard was the one viewed as top Manager material.
*In Gerrard's book, he even wrote about employing Xabi Alonso and Carragher as his top assistants.
*Looks like Xabi Alonso is going to be the guy who can write his ticket.

See how he does the next two years. One has to wonder about the link to Liverpool, if the new Mgr struggles.

Quite the turnaround, Opti. Wonder what the pre-season odds were on Bayer LEV winning the Bundesliga.

[July 12] Bayern Munich have opened up as heavy -330 favorites to win the title again with only Dortmund at +450 and Leipzig +1000 given any shot of challenging in the Bundesliga odds

This link seems to indicate Bayer LEV would have been 110/1 (or higher) to win it.

Bayer Leverkusen may have started the season with a 0.9% chance to win the Bundesliga, according to Opta, but Xabi Alonso's side are now champions Leverkusen officially won their first Bundesliga title this weekend to snap Bayern Munich's 11-year winning streak after beating Werder Bremen 5-0.Apr 15, 2024
