    Brenden Rice
Anyone know why Jerry Rice's son fell to the 7th round in the NFL draft? Lots of teams had him going mid 4th, but to drop to the final round? Is he really that average a receiver? Is it something to do with the old man?

He's just average in a loaded wr draft and wanted his own legacy which likely chased away any team that his dad played for.

Something seems off. Mock drafts had him around R4 but dropped to R7. Chargers who drafted him had him around R4 so how come they didn’t get him R4?

Sounds collusion or something behind the scenes as nothing has materialized as the reason for the slide.

        Yeah, R 4-5.

        The WR market is saturated.

The Bronny of football. Got the genes, but not the means.

I'd disagree with that, Rice actually had a decent college career and scored 14 TDs last year.

Bronny was an afterthought last year at USC.

I saw an interview with Rice the other day and he is dead set to prove people wrong. I have a feeling he will make the team and contribute.

Not unusual for a player's draft position to be lower than what was projected; if his last name were Smith, nobody would've noticed.

This is true. But you would think that name would cause more attention, especially in the draft. He's more of a physical receiver than a route running speedster like his Dad. I think the Chargers got a steal.
