#38Picking winners is extremely difficult and still only about 45% of being a successful sports bettor.
Another 45% is having good money management skills which is almost as difficult as picking winners.
The last 10% is having discipline, like not chasing after a tough loss, going on tilt and trying to get back even after a bad beat, and having the discipline not to make stupid bets just because you are angry after some bad losses.
The discipline part is probably harder for me than picking winners to be honest.Comment -

#41Sports gambling and relax don’t usually go together.
That said, be prepared for some wild responses.
Maybe check out the think tank sub forum
I might think twice about walking away from being a student.
Today’s world requires education in most careers.
Be careful with your decision.
Good Luck to you.
One used to hear the same question re: Poker. Let's start with two parallels.
*Let's consider Daniel Negreanu to = veteran of the Poker game. Let's call Dave Cokin = veteran of the gambling game.
They each gave ALMOST IDENTICAL answers to young players who wanted to become Poker/Sport pros.
Question: "I want to quit my job. Can I become a Poker/Sports pro?"
DANIEL: "You have to be prepared to work at it. It will likely be harder than your current job."
DAVE: "You have to be prepared to work at it. It will likely be harder than your current job."
It's the same thing. If you think you're signing up for a free lunch, forget about it.
If you love what you're pursuing and you're willing to work harder than 98% of the field, then you have a shot. Step #1 might be establishing a bankroll, so you can tolerate some very volatility. Step #2 = hold onto your job, so you can build a bankroll.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#44There's a few community GPTs but they are trash in my opinion. I was messing around with one of the standard GPTs and then feeding data to get to a model that was decent. I'm sure if you spent some time actually doing work you can come up with a good one. You can also tell the gpt to write Python for you and build the model that wayComment -

Good Luck to you.
His response:
So sport betting leads to depression?
When I saw this response, I realized this was a pathetic attempt at I'm not sure what.
Kind of knew it when he said he was a "ruined student by his parents".

#58You can for a period of time, but understand that it's difficult to scale and gets tougher over time. Better as a strike while the iron is hot thing. If you're expecting a 35 year career, that may be tough.Comment -

#70I don't know about that, Raiders is not a guy who reads the "bullshit" in forumville. He's here to promote his crypto markets in a very respectable way. I don't think he has time to get into the everyday charades that some posters partake in, I could be wrong.Comment
