        i disagree.

he has lost the edge he had now that there is NIL, transfer portal, and SEC expansion.

he worked all the way until the exact moment he retired on Weds.

he was interviewing asst coaches until the very end lol

he did not and does not like where they game is going.

the playing field was evening up too much hence NO national champ game appearances for him nor Titles since 2020 season.

        2021, 2022, 2023, nothing.

        he did not like that.

The grey area operation Saban had a huge lead on is now the new normal college football operation. Paying players to now we have NIL, over signing and cutting annually- now we have the portal so players choose their own destiny, sign stealing- people think he brought in all those ex HC “consultants” to rehab their image, etc… etc… this is the game.

You also have expansion of conference and playoff…it’s not going to be win 3-4 key games a year for essentially the conference and national championships, the gauntlet has arrived. College football will be better suited for a pro coach mindset coming up. The player has the power more than ever. As for the coach and team- No need to go undefeated… just get in!

            Stay tuned!

                For sure.

I’m trying not to be a Michigan alumni and homer here but Michigan finally pulled up their sacks and chose to operate in the grey areas everyone else does. Was it right? Was it wrong? History will decide that. We got caught because the scheme was flawed and we just weren’t as seasoned at doing it. Most of the shit in question is normal or has been normalized. This is the NFL LITE NOW. The NCAA president enjoyed the ratings from this game and the windfall of cash will be even greater with the expansion. Nothing to see here my good friend HOMIE! Here’s your cut of the cash!

Who knows?! Not official but probably done. Going from good to great can be costly. I wouldn’t want to back fill for a legend like that. Those hires never workout.

Washington fans must feel like they've had the rug pulled out from under them. Just Monday they were in a one score game late in the 3rd quarter to determine a national champion, and since then they've lost their quarterback and entire fleet of receivers + RB Johnson to the NFL, and now the coach who seemingly could've made them perennially relevant, oh and by the way, go to the B1G conference next year.

                          Talk about starting over.

Guy was pretty good. He made Alabama the Standard.
Saban got to the top of the mountain and defended it for longer than anyone in the modern era. Very impressive, what impressed me the most was his ability to put to have the #1 class of recruits year after year. Of course his 2nd season went 11-2 losing SEC Championship game and the bowl game. That was a great coaching job with mainly Mike Shula players and the freshman he had brought in.Then winning the natty in his 3rd year. 4th year 10-3 with maybe the most talented team he had. If you just look at the players that went pro. Very debatable but even if it wasn't the most talented it was very Talented.
After that year never won less than 11 in a year, be hard for anyone to ever accomplish that much success again.
He put Alabama back on top a great one no doubt.
