#2Tony Mandarich - #2 pick of the Pack in 1989. A workout warrior who was cocky as hell, proceeded to hold out, then challenged Mike Tyson to a street fight - But when he finally showed up and had to get off the juice, he was a disaster! GB passed on Barry Sanders, Derrick Thomas, and Deion Sanders among others...Comment -

The Packer draft bust that I rate even higher = QB Rich Campbell. He sucked. And within a few years, he was in a monastery.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#19Chucky, great story from Reggie schooling Tony - White had a handful of sacks that day, making it look easy. A reporter asked him about it and could he have done even better? Reggie said he would have had more sacks but he kept "tripping" over Mandarich who was being knocked to the ground on almost every play. Classic Reggie!Comment -

Mandarich was a new guy after he came off the 'roids. To his credit, he did re-invent himself with the Colts. 86 career Games Played, he's a bust just not the BIGGEST bust ever (IMHO).
I like some of the QBs listed. Jamarcus Russell was a joke, I saw that one coming. Akili Smith held out, which set him way back.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#24Akili Smith really is high on my list. He played at Oregon, who had a wide-open offense. He put up big numbers as a one-year starter, earned him the #3 overall draft slot.
Checkout the latest stats for Akili Smith. Get info about his position, age, height, weight, college, draft, and more on Pro-football-reference.com.
Check out his AV stat = 2. That's a Career approximate value that the site tries to put on players. 2 means he's barely even a wind-surge on the radar.
5 TD-13 INT. No other team even bothered with him, after that showing.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#29Draft busts are nothing unusual in sports. Every fan knows them and dreads their team making them. #34The trade that would of changed everything. The Portland Trailblazers offered the Rockets their #2 pick in the 1984 NBA Draft and Clyde Drexler for current Rookie of the year Ralph Sampson. The Rockets had Michael Jordan as the number 2 behind Dream. Rockets drafted Dream #1, then they draft Jordan with the #2. Bowie gets drafted #3 Bulls.
1984 Lineup
C- Olajuwon
PF- Lou Lloyd
SF- Drexler
SG- Jordan
PG- Robert Reid
