Land purchased. Done deal. Pretty good site. Stadium will be one of the best. A’s will be here by 2025 and split the Aviators facility. Brand new facility also.
What will be left in Oakland?

Being able to see NFL, NHL, NASCAR, F1 and MLB all in Vegas is a big draw for tourists like me. A real big extra reason to choose time in Vegas when travelling to US.

I live close to Vegas. I've been hoping they move here. Not an A's fan, but want to see the teams that will visit here.
Just like the Raiders. They moved here and a majority of the fans at the games came to cheer the visiting team.
The only team that has a real Vegas fan base is the Golden Knights. Expansion team, not a relocation.

I hate when teams leave cities. I mean the product they have put on the field since moneybll has been absolute trash, should they expect fans to come?
The question is, if they lock down vegas and move there are the owners going to all of sudden spend money? Because Vegas is still Vegas people aren’t going to games for a terrible team after the novelty wears off

Spot on. Another reason to visit. Lots of events/entertainment outside of gaming.

I don’t like when teams move either but Oakland is dying and unsafe. I spend 5-7 days a month there for business and it’s a tough place to be. I see their point in not using local tax dollars, etc… for billionaires stadiums but that’s sort of the way it is. Vegas will just tax the local visitors.
All that said, you are correct, they will have to spend money and improve the product. Vegas fans will expect a winner. Lots of A’s fans already here and are excited. The A’s will get an instant boost though in attendance and revenue, passive visitors attending, fans from other markets, convention team events, etc… but let’s face it- they have been pocketing most of the revenue sharing dollars and not doing much with the team. That will have to change or it will be a big beautiful empty stadium.

Let's not forget Vegas already has a pro basketball wnba team. If there is expansion in the NBA the first market that should get a team is Seattle.

For sure. They already have T-Mobile Arena, which they could use pretty easily.
With all the people per square foot, it just makes sense for Vegas to have sports franchises now.

People are moving out of Vegas, it's quickly becoming a filthy dump and it's a dry dusty desert to boot. Who wants to live there anymore?
The Vegas glits and glamour is a thing of the past. Like BB King sang the thrill is gone.

Not true at all. Construction everywhere.
It’s absolutely quiet off strip Vegas and in Summerlin. The strip is a shit show but how many locals is that? It’s SoCal and tourist trash. As I sit here and look at the mountains and the golf course from my porch, why wouldn’t you live here? Particularly someone like you who is in the heart of chaos!
Admit it Jibbbs- you love high taxes, crime, homelessness, crazy policy… as long as you get your SoCal beach and sun.

I frigg'n hate Southern California now because of high crime, bumper to bumper traffic, homeless drug addicks, tent cities, lack of police presence, high State taxation, highest gas prices in America, pot hole roads, dirty unsafe beaches, liberal Democratic policies, etc.
I know I live here in So Cal but I've seen it going down hill for years now and I call a spade a spade. That's why I'm getting out eventually and saying goodbye to Cali. Selling off my properties and working the 1031 exchanges.
