lol man you got a kicker grudge.

There is some truth to dime a dozen. Even kickers that don't make a squad might hit their next 10 if given a chance. And then those on a team might miss 3/10. Ya just never know.

Definitely half of the job is handling the mental/pressure aspect. Every kicker faces game-deciding situations every season. Aside from QB's, can't really say that about many other players. And even with QB's, it's a team game. That game-winning kick is more pressure than anyone else on the team.

yeah there are some great kickers...vinatieri, ray guy

definitely pressure. this cowboys kicker had a great season, after 4 missed xp he's on the verge of getting cut, maybe never to be picked up again. coaches of course known to cut kickers in the middle of the season without a thought, sometimes right after the game. so in that aspect, yeah you're 100% right pressure

A kicker misses 4 extra points in one game in the playoffs you got a problem. That's all I know.

Actually is not a big deal. I'd be worried if he missed 4 FGs as this is a 12 point switch than a 4 point switch.

The fact that he missed them all is the concern. If you can keep missing extra point FG's you can bet he'll miss the regular 3 point FG's also. He will now be pressing mentally, over compensating and shanking them. DOINK!

So are you saying that if a QB throws 4 INTs in a game he will throw 4 INTs on his next game?

I see where your going but this is different. Kicking is repetition and mental concentration. A QB is trying to throw a ball to a moving target and stay alive. Sort of a kicker throwing darts but a QB has 300lb linemen all around him ready to pounce....a bit tougher.
If I was going to bet a QB throws 4 interception or a kicker misses 4 EP's......I'll go 4 int's everytime.
We'll see if it gets in his head soon enough.

It's not different. Anyone can have a bad day. That doesn't mean they forgot how to kick XPs or throw passes.
