All I can say is.... the biggest upset in the Super Bowl was Brady beating "The Greatest Show On Turf" when he was younger. Yes Brady is one of a kind. Probably no one will ever be like him. The game VS Dallas will be Purdy's Super Bowl. I have a feeling Quinn will send everything AND the kitchen sink at Purdy. Everyone talks about San Francisco's D.... the issue is... everyone thinks Purdy has seen it all... no he hasn't. He hasn't seen any exotic coverages yet... and he will get ALL OF THAT on Sunday.

In the Regular Season... defenses don't plan exotic looks.... in the playoffs you do.

I agree. Good points! One more thing....which makes me weary of taking SF. SF's schedule this year was garbage. They beat down a injury-riddled Bucs team at that time. Got beat down by KC, and who else did they play that wasn't really garbage? Miami. And Miami was in that game until Tua started throwing pick 6's all of a sudden but I will give them credit for beating down Miami good. Other than that, it was garbage. Dallas is the second best team they've played all year behind KC.

Now, it doesn't mean they can't blow out/or just beat Dallas, I'm simply making a point they played garbage all year.

and this is huge sample size covering 15 years of teams playing in london and now germany tampa bay and seattle out of playoffs
Not a good sample size at all considering that I bet if you put the combined records of the teams that played overseas the first 5-10 years it was probably pretty poor
Also 15 years is not a good sample size in any set of data that you are evaluating on a yearly basis

          2) What's the brass tax on the plays for this weekend?

          3) On the chart you posted, might be noteworthy that the Niners rate #32 on the SOS chart.
...6-0 vs Division, 3-1 vs NFC South. Game that should be startling is the 44-23 home loss vs the Chiefs. That was the game McCaffrey joined the team and Trent/NBosa came off the injury list.

the biggest upset? lol... he was a game manager and the patriots had a pick 6 in that game and the kicker won it at the end

now... the wildcard giants beating the 18-0 patriots without the assistance of a pick 6 and converting a 4th down late in the 4th Q to stay alive and needing a TD late to win down 4 and doing just that??? a much more impressive upset because "Brady is 3-0 in Super Bowls and his team is 18-0"

Considering all the hype people spewed with Warner, Bruce, Holt, Hakim, Faulk... I didn't hear one person on New England that Super Bowl. To me it was a major upset... Rams -12.5 with that superior offense.

Shot, I was watching that game at a sportsbook Super Bowl party.

Can confirm that I was one of two people on the Patriots. Nobody saw it coming. People had overrated the Rams, tho.

In their Super Bowl winning year, the Ram defense was quite a bit better. The Ram defense deteriorated over the next few years.

What sticks out to me about the Rams is how efficient Warner was. After Green got injured, everyone (including me) wrote them off. Had an amazing year, and then they beat the Titans.

Always a great read coming from you Chuckster. Been wagering for 23 years now and for some reason... the way the media promoted the Rams for nearly 6 hours on that particular Super Bowl Sunday... it scared the sh## out of you to even think of wagering New England. The only reason I took New England 5 minutes before kickoff... the line shot down quickly at V-Wager (something they never do) and it went to Rams -11.5... Then it went off the board. Just a lucky stab. But I won't ever forget that day.

The 2nd most PUMPED UP SUPER BOWL in my opinion was Gannon and the Raiders VS That amazing Tampa Bay defense. To me it was a soft line... I think it went off the board near kick off at Raiders -2.5

                  Great memories...
