Just goes to show you doesn't matter where you're drafted. My guy Mr Irrelevant Brock Purdy was the last player in the draft last year and he's playing like a champ

Purdy is making the most of his opportunity. Guy studied hard, was ready when his chance came.

Have to root for a guy like that. As for Wilson, not so much.

Nate, these high-draft picks really have to be careful about coming across as celebrity QBs. They're making more money than almost any other player on the team.

I think the game last nite was very telling. Every Wilson picture I've seen has been of him w/ his girl or him w/ his mom.

Lawrence, meanwhile, has gained praise for preparation. It's shown on his improved performance on the field. He got tougher.

It's very important to win over the locker room:

*Your guy Purdy gained credit from a veteran like McCaffrey even b4 he got on the field. McCaff noted how studious Purdy was.

*Look at the Jet locker room. The players have spoken, they'll go to war w/ Mike White. They don't like Wilson.

*Similar situation in WASH, maybe not to the same extent. The players like Heinecke. Wentz is less mobile, the players don't like him as much.

It's amazing how far Wilson has fallen. Last nite he was replaced in the 2h by Chris Streveler, a better running option.

Saleh has done everything to preserve Wilson's pride. Saleh has parsed his words and attempted to keep Wilson viable.

From ESPN:Saleh declined to speculate on his Week 17 starter. Chances are, they will go back to White (fractured ribs), but he still hasn't been cleared for contact. If he's not cleared, the Jets will have a tough decision.

"We haven't seen the last of him," Saleh said of Wilson.

Zach or should I say Sack Wilson will probably not come back to the Jets next season. I don't think he even should be a backup, maybe a 3rd stringer. Mike White has now 9 days to get the clearance and he will play week 17 or else the Jets have 0 chance.
