#37reasons NOT to do the app
1) possible w-2g showing taxable winnings if you win
2) first bet on the app should be the $1250 risk-free bet... if you get the app and don't do this, you're essentially throwing away a one-time chance
3) even if you're not staying at caesar's, there are tons of other books ON THE SAME STREET
4) drink tickets
5) pain in the ass to set up the app, and might have to wait a couple days to cash out at the cage, by then he might be gone
but i'm sure you know all this
by the way, i'm never answering another one of your emails... you could at least FUKKING SAY THANK YOU when someone spends their time trying to help you
2) Any promotion like that would be the exact reason to use a mobile account.
3) Extremely difficult to earn profits without access to all of them. Scrolling through a phone is much easier than running around from casino to casino.
4) Many places give them out with deposits. Don’t even have to make a bet.
5) Payouts are immediate during business hours. They would be setting themselves up for a visit and possible fines from gaming control board if they held up payouts.Comment -

#401) All wins are taxable, all losses are tax deductible. If that’s not true for someone they should probably fix the way they bet and how they do their accounting.

and for #5 that's not true with apps, i had to wait almost 2 days for fanduel (after a 2-week suspension for KYC) and almost 2 days for barstool... on a fun trip to vegas, that would really be great, go on the app to bet and your account is suspended! or even just a 2-day wait when he is now gone, or wanted that money to bet with
here it is right from caesar's website
Your withdrawal request should be processed by Caesars within 72 hours, but usually will be complete within a day or two. Once approved, you will receive a notification that the funds have been sent to the payment processor of your choice.

no idea why these weirdos want you to spend a vacation/work trip setting up apps and turning FUN into ADDITIONAL WORK
these same guys probably don't sit by the pool ordering food/drinks because it's too expensive and they might be missing out on a $20 hedge lolComment -

You can make a cash withdrawal from one of our retail locations. Just present your valid photo ID at one of the sports book windows and one of our ticket writers will locate your digital account. To verify the transaction, the ticket writer will send a message with the withdrawal amount and passcode to your mobile phone. The ticket agent will validate the code and pay out your withdrawal in cash.Comment -

#44If they ever legalize the apps there, not sure they will, but if so, those sportsbooks will all go out of business. I can guarantee it. People want options nowadays. It's like they're still only selling model ts when the rest of the world has moved on. If I'm gonna go into the nino to place a wager, I even want more than i can find online. Why leave my couch at 6 pm, get a cab, place a bet, have to wait around for the outcome, then get paid? Wouldn't mind though if they did things other online books don't, which let's face it, is not much.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#45There are two issues for bigger players these days, the way I see it. And when I say bigger, I mean the guys who (I could theoretically be in this class) are top earners in real life and like to bet on games, but don't have the million dollar money where they either don't care about the money that much (it's more social media and ego than most) and/or have highly paid accountants or other really stupid write offs. Why would I want to be tracked on an app (even for the ease, that's the cost) in the surveillance state? Now the IRS is going to be looking at low to mid six figure earners? I'll take my chances with the paperwork BS the other brick and mortars, not an indelible online verification that I bet X and won Y. What's the second issue? Not only taking out cash from a bank, but putting it back in. You get hundreds of questions on both ends. It's like we live in communist state, which we sorta do, the Constitution doesn't mean anything. They accuse you of indirectly being a criminal, not actually accuse you of committing a crime. Ridiculous.Comment -

If you get a check from Bovada for 10 grand, what's the difference about putting it in your bank? You'll have to cash the check at a shady liquor store, give up a couple hundred bucks, then keep the cash in your house.
Lots of different things obviously. But on Fanduel, you can parlay shit for 20 bucks that can win you 200 grand. You can't do that on Bovada, or in Vegas, or anywhere. and a big company like that will actually pay if you hit that lotto ticket. And if you do, what's 30% in taxes? F it.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#51Guys who are making 200 grand a year gambling sports are already paying taxes. They aren't hiding that. If you win big at a casino you are paying taxes too. All that shit is getting sent to the IRS. If you win 10 grand on fanduel, most ppl won't even pay the taxes on that, they'll say f it, let the irs come after me. That's mickey mouse money. If you really just are worried about no taxes you'd just go old school or play with a local.

As for fan duel, good point, but no relevant to me. The parlay is hard enough to hit already, then you're giving back 30% (remember, it's not like it's a guarantee that you ever hit one in your whole life)? That seems silly. One of the reasons I don't play the supercontests is precisely that. I've gotta pay 30% more (they better have no fees, at least circa doesn't now so westgate had to follow) if I beat one of the lucky pickers that you who hit 69%? Whew, seems stupid since all that means is ego for me at that point, and guys already won a lot like Fezzik back in the day who can say "been there done that".
I'd rather play against other guys in office pool like environments to win 5-15k and have a real shot at beating them, since I am good at what I do and the numbers game can't beat me with pure luck (1000s of contestants for the supercontests).Comment -

#53lets not confuse the issue, Caesars sports is William Hill. Everyone should know by now that William Hill has more Nevada Gaming Board complaints than all other Nevada Licensee's combined. William Hill is notorious for limiting bettors and withholding payouts. Every property that had their own independent race and sports that was replaced by William Hill has had their seating eliminated and reduced.Comment -

#54I pay taxes and don't want to pay more or report more, especially cash. I don't see how you answered any of my questions. If I'm online they send a form to the IRS if I cash a lot for the whole year. If I'm brick and mortar, they send nothing. Do they keep track, sure, on pieces of paper and nothing gets sent to the IRS. That's a pretty big deal if I win 20k or more in a year.

But I respect the taxes thing. If ur cool with keeping cash, since you can't really deposit it into your bank if you win 50 60 grand gambling in a year, then that's cool. Maybe just throw it in a safety deposit box I guess.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#58Question guys. I have a ticket from Tropicana last night that they couldnt cash this morning because the William Hill system was down. I understand I can cash this at any William Hill book. I plan on hanging at Westgate after work until my flight. Is there a William Hill close? Ill be coming to Westgate from Henderson. Thanks!Comment -

#60I mean I know guys that have hit for 250k on 25 dollar bets, so yeah it's obviously hard but it's not impossible for someone like you who knows sports. You can't win that kind of money just betting spreads and totals in a parlay, I don't care how much you know. If you combined a couple spreads, with some player props, maybe a tie at half and full game winner, you can easily get lucky. Point is, if you do hit, that's money you would never see betting in vegas.

#61Yes, I know some people who are playing same game parlay with odds (like home runs, runs, hits, etc) or in NFL games touchdown scorers with other props, right? How many do you all parlay usually, 4 or 5? Or like 7 to get the huge parlay odds?Comment -

Usually I look for big star players that have underperformed and have a great matchup ahead of them, then I take their alternate props, either alternate yards over, or if they're due for a couple td day, I take that.
