How is that even possible? Figured this would be a near coin flip considering Sandy is one of the best pitchers in league and there would be tremendous value in dodgers (who have great numbers vs Alcantara)

      Dodgers have crushed Alcantara

I figured this would be maybe dodgers -120 ml and +140 RL and I could pound it

At -120 or 130 RL, it's not even playable

Baseball is a team sport. This is why the lines are not based on an individual.

Lines are heavily influenced by starting Pitchers

Dodgers were -140 faves at home vs corbin burnes

I get the sense Vegas is sick and tired of public killing them with the dodgers and they're gonna start putting crazy lines on every game. I've never seen a team be a 200 favorite on the road against a league top 5 pitcher (even on a bad team)

You are correct. If a team is white-hot...the lines can become non-sensical.

I think your logic is good. If you think Sandy can put up a solid effort, then you have +EV value.

One observation. I looked at Sandy's career log. His SEASON stats appear to outstrip his CAREER stats.

Forgetting that the Marlins scored 6 runs tonight, the Marlins have one of the most anemic offenses in MLB.

And when they moved Bass and Pop at the deadline, their bullpen became awful (their closer, Scott, is beyond terrible)

And Dustin May is very good.

There is no “value” in the Marlins tomorrow. Sandy will have to go at least 8 innings against the one team in MLB that he’s historically not good against.

they just beat him last week

dodgers are super hot. their lines are inflated because of how hot they are. this would probably be -170 otherwise.

9 innings like a total boss. Congrats to anyone that had Marlins.

Dodgers are really hard to fade especially after a loss like to Miami yesterday, a shit team.
