#6browns made his contract expecting this outcome
Watson's contract with the Browns guarantees him a league-record $230 million, with a base salary that will jump to $46 million in 2023 and a $44.965 million signing bonus.
Yet because Cleveland structured his contract to include a 2022 base salary of only $1.035 million, Watson was going to lose only $57,500 per game suspended, without the $5 million fine imposed in the settlement. Watson's total lost pay this season will be $632,500.Comment -

#7There are plenty of back-up QBs in the league better than Kapernick. And who says Kap is cheap? Last I heard, he wanted big bucks to sit on the bench.Comment -

#9All around funny story... rush rush rush to grab him. Give him a crazy contract. Suspended 11 games. Mentally is he all there? Will he be running like he normally does?? Who knows what the guy is thinking now. Might not even be the same player anymore. Played in a dome all of his career... now we go to Cleveland? It's an entirely different environment to throw the football. Different animal.Comment -

#16It’s about saving The NFL brand.
Has nothing to do with the player.
They had to show the public how much they care. Lol.
Shame they don’t hold Dan Snyder to the same standard.Comment -

#21That NFL brand today is pretty much the BLM kneeling hate on America players league and or the National Felons League. Great legacy for your children to grow up worshiping and looking up to!

#28First of all, dumb system that the NFLPA agreed to use.
Second, the 11 games is the first suspension that was actually a set number of games that was odd I can ever remember. How ironic he plays at Houston the first game.
Third, how good can he possibly be with all this time out of game action? It would make sense to go after Garopollo as a stopgap now both to try and keep them in it and as an insurance policy for this season.Comment -

#30The NFL brand isn’t about politics or BLM or CLM or DLM. It is about one thing only.
MONEY.
They will do whatever it takes to get as much out of people as possible.
Over priced tickets, gear, logos, you name it. It is all about the money.
And they will do anything to anyone that helps that cause.Comment -

BOOM these allegations smack him out of nowhere.. what alex jones is currently saying is instantly what i thought. the timing of it made 0 sense. and if you think the Mcnair family doesnt have people in powerful places you are very slow..Comment
