If the odds go less than 10/1 on #7 I am going to hammer the 5.

Ran solid. As Philly stated poor start and slow half were killers.

I appreciated the tip as even though like Al Stall probably would not have looked twice at this horse with those slow works.

I wonder if one studied the DRF each day for one track, you could get a 10 percent ROI each month.

Made a small play and went to the beach. Just saw it win and your guy got third.
One thing I've noticed on these two year old maiden races is that if you see a horse with short odds running their first race against other maidens who have a race or two under their belt, take the short odds with no experience.
Good luck today sir

I watched the replay. Broke slow, dead last into slow fractions and was wide on the final turn. The jock didn't go all out to win, more like a learning experience. One to follow with the race over the track and perhaps more distance. Not a bad tip as there is some ability there.

Unlikely, without inside information; which we know is illegal here at Bushwood.

Disagree with this. Rebates have created an edge that some take advantage of.

A misconception for sure . I’ve explained this several times in my thread.
Pigpen is right. The races are able to provide a profit especially with rebates. However, you better expect to put in many more hours of effort than most are willing to spend if you want to be serious about it.
And of course, you have to understand how to handicap. An art form in itself.
JJ start playing horses. pick random numbers. can't be worse than your sports losses.

Been going to the trace since age 12 when my Godfather took me there. Was the old Garden State Race track. Think it’s now a Wegmans and Cheesecake Factory. Just fell in love with the sport. Nothing better than doing your homework and the horse comes out a winner.

That 7 was full of run yesterday. I added him to my stable. Next time out gotta watch that one. Jock waited too long to make his move. Was a heck of a price too!

The thing about horse racing is that you can make two (maybe three if you're lucky) accurate calls per card. You can break down all the races, find two that you really like, and hit the exacta on them, or maybe just a solid win bet. The problem is that no one goes to the track and bets two races, especially if you're betting multiple tracks. That's why they push Pick 4s and Pick 5s. They want you looking at every single race until you find something you like and commit money to it.

I won a race there about 2-3 days before it burned down. Glad I went one last time to the old place. Got one last picture.
New place was just not the same to me.

def feels good when you pick the first horse out of 10. i can admit that. feels different than winning a sports bet.
