#227 cause it allows online betting. I'm not driving 2 hours to a Indian casino in the middle of nowhere to put a bet in that's crazy. Ya what happens if they both pass, good questionComment -

#3It’s ridiculous that we don’t have legal online gambling in California. I’m in the Hollywood area and would never consider driving to bumblefuck to place a bet. Until there’s local options the Indian casinos are worthless. Their commercials are starting to piss me off too. If my offshore sites ever get shut down and my only option is sitting in traffic for 4hours+ in traffic I’ll probably place a few futures one time then off myself. Or mb it would be a blessing in disguise like when online poker stopped being a viable option. I can live without poker. Sports flow through my blood.Comment -

#5Prop 26 is useless for us Californians.
Vote yes on 27 so we can all bet through our phones here in CA and can stop having to bet online or drive four f*cken hours to the Nevada border.Comment -

#7Some interesting notes, per article https://www.gamingtoday.com/news/cal...ot-initiative/
"Betting on in-state or out-of-state games played by California college teams would remain illegal, except during tournament play. Betting on high school sports and events would remain illegal*" (Prop 26)
"Online sportsbooks took notice and filed a $100 million counter initiative in Aug. 2021 that would allow online and mobile sports betting by operators tied to tribal partners. That initiative is now qualified for the November 8 ballot as Prop 27. Voters will be able to select Prop 26 or Prop 27 at the polls this fall. The winner will be decided by which proposal receives the most “yes” votes, according to local news reports early this year — unless a court battle gets in the way."
