One of my degenerate gambling buddies I met at the sportsbook here in Indy is 73 years old and in bad health. I helped him download Bet MGM on his phone on Saturday. I enter his info and type in his address. Once I entered the street it pulled up his city, state, and zip (Indiana). Then we did the banking and I popped $6k into his account within 5 minutes.

Then the login doesn't work. I reset the password and the new password doesn't work either? Turns out he was locked out by MGM. Live chat was no help so I found a local phone # for customer service. I left and he called it for 2 hours before someone finally answers. They told him the account was registered in Illinois and accused him of pulling a scam? They said his money might be tied up for 4-6 months while they investigate and that he's lucky they didn't report him. Report him for what?

WTF? I never heard of anything like that. I've had MGM for 2 years+ and never had any issues

When you say you popped $6k into his account, are you saying that HIS BetMGM account was funded from YOUR bank account? Or you gave him $6k to his bank and then he funded that into his MGM account?

I deposited the money into BetMGm from his checking account. Someone said something about stolen identity. He's had that happen to him fairly recently, but they were using ************ and not his checking account. I don't see what that would have to do with this?

The money was in his MGM account. I saw it, but when I handed the phone back to him to log in and try it....the logins didnt work and the account was locked up

you can reside in another state and as long as you register the account and make plays while you are located in the app's home state you are fine.

I was in Michigan this weekend and downloaded a few apps, funded, played, withdrew no problems

for some reason in fred's case. The geolocation on the phone they were using must have returned Illinois

weird glitchy shit happens. Somtimes I'll log into an IL app and it will redirect me to the NJ or facing side of that brand and I have to log out and retry or I'll go to make a bet and it will say it can't complete my wager because i'm not located in that state. Ect

You don't know this guy. He's a perv for one and he screams at people like a 8 year old if he doesn't get his way. He's been banned from the northside Indy casino thats closer to him.

I put a perennial loser onto a bunch of winners in 2019-2020 and he paid me for it. He travels alot and would leave me thousands to bet for him. It was work. I put $1k of his money on my Caesars app and got $1k match a few years ago. Then I took $1k out when he got back and everything was peachy. Nobody else will deal with this guy but whores


Update : He went to the Indiana Gaming Commission and they said he'll get his $6k back pretty quickly but they have to listen to the call. He calls the MGM hotline lady a oyster and I'm sure roosterlicker was thrown in there too. This guy is a dumpster fire, but he does ask about my Mom and a better friend then most in my life.
He has no kids and never been married. I try to help him for free all the time. He would call me crying at 1am because he couldn't log in to some app and bet the 4Q of some bs game. He's in bad shape in every way possible. I think he dropped like $20k at Barstool in a week or 2 and he's not that wealthy
