Gus (7-2) Just Came Over and Gave me a Good One
I was in my Joe Boxers watching Al Pacino on stage at the oscars, icing my elbow with cranberries frozen, and about to turn in when he knocks and says he is stopping by on his way back from the cottage to give me one for tomorrow

    Take RAPTORS-3 over BOSTON -110

I checked the game spread and it opened at Boston -3 and it's now at Toronto -4.5 and that's a 7.5 point move.

I see that center Robert Williams is out for Boston but from what I've seen in the past, at least on the first game when someone important like him is out, everyone else on the team rally and plays better. I would say Boston covers and I am going to bet that.

I am aware of Gus' winning streak and it's quite good. This is against my baccarat play where you bet the streak and lose only once, but what the hey I have to go with what I know happens when someone is out.

This reminds me of Cincinnati Bengals vs New York Jets last year.

Cincinnati opened at -3 and it went up to -11 by the game time because the Jets QB was out and the Bengals lost SU.

I had 3 parlays with the Bengals ML as the last leg and all of them lost. I could have won 12K+ if the Bengals just won the game.

I have to take a shot at Boston with the line moving that much.

I was looking at this last night, with the Raptors all but locked in. I aint that mad. Funny things happen when this many guys are out.
Perfect spot for Toronto against a full squad. Excellent choice by Celtics coach to rest the star players; it keeps that positive image of themselves.

Usually other players step up in gam s like these. Well for a little while anyway. But with this many starts out only so many can step up.

Are you saying there are other starters out for Boston besides the center R. Williams for tonight's game?

Well, if the coach sits players to rest them thinking they aren't going to beat Toronto or they don't need to win tonight's game, then my money is toast.

Never mind, I looked it up myself and see that 3 starters will be out for tonight, but two of them were out last night and they still won handily. It will take more digging to find out how long the other two starters have been out, but if it's been a while then the center being out should not matter for at least one game.

In the last 2.5 years, Toronto hasn't beaten Boston in Toronto, so I will stick with Boston regardless who's out.

Well, I was mistaken. Jayson Tatum wasn't out in their last game and he scored a ton of points (34 points), so that's quite a bit of points that Boston's other players have to make up and I can see why the line moved so much.

I'm still going to take a shot on Boston based on the fact that Toronto hasn't beaten Boston in Toronto in the last 2.5 years.

Celtics are playing great ball and on a winning streak right now but are playing on a back to back with travel.

The rested Raptors will play hard tonight at home for sure and have revenge on their minds from the last 2 games they lost to the Celtics.

Still just a very sketchy game to bet on IMO! Pass!

Well, that OT gave some hope to the late Toronto bettors, but it was a false hope. I'm sure no one got Toronto -3, but if anyone did then at least you pushed.

I didn't bet big enough on Boston to worry about the outcome, but I didn't like how it went into OT because of the missed throws by Boston near the end of game. I almost bet the ML on Boston too and glad that I didn't.

In the end, what I expected to happen happened, so that's that.

At least Gus' streak is still alive with the push at -3.
